02 z28 vert vrs 04 Cobra
Here is the deal gentleman My Sgt. at work just bought a 04 Cobra and wants to race my 02 M6 z28 vert. That is bone stock at the moment but I have the following parts in the garage ready to go on as soon as I can take few days off to install and get a tune.
I have TTS full length headers , Bassani ORY , Borla cat back.
stage 2 ported LS6 heads, F14 cam, and for emergancy purposes a 150hp shot.
I have a 4 point roll bar, DD SFC, and adjustable LCA bit I still have a stock 3.42 rear end.
Will drag radials kill my rear?
His mods that I know of are a pulley on the supercharger and a bassani off road H pipe.
What do you guys think assuming we can both drive who would you bet on?

You install all those items and you will give a Cobra a good race! I raced a '03 Cobra coupe that i think was stock. He ran a 13.13 to my 13.16. he caught me at the finishline!

+1. I agree with you 100%. Now go out and tame that snake.

Ya i think that if you do the mods minus the nitrous it will be a tough race. They aint to much heavier then a LS1 vert. With a 150 shot it will be easy as pie.
As far as your rearend goes, it is a gamble EVERY time you get on it. Especially if you have DR's and u2 go from a dig. GL man

With those bolt-ons + those heads and that cam you should spank him assuming a good tune and good driving. With the N20 you will easily destroy him, along with your clutch
Better go from a decent roll or without drags you will just spin, with them you will likely blow out your rear
