Default 04 cobra rematch

I raced my friend on Friday with the current mods in my sig. When we raced before my mods were just flowmaster exhaust and K&N filter. He would walk me pretty bad from a 60 roll. Anyway we raced on the freeway from a 60 roll to 135MPH. 3 honks and were off and we were dead even the whole time and I mean the WHOLE TIME. His mods are catted SLP X-pipe and SLP loudmouth with the predator tune prog (I don't know if that helps) we did this twice on the freeway and dead even both races. I was surprised why we were dead even. He even called me right after the 2 races and asked "Did you get any new mods" I was like no, but got a new oil change I don't know if that helped, but anyway it was pretty surprising. We also raced about 3 weeks ago with the same mods on my car now and it was from the same 60 roll speed and he would very slowly start to walk me, but this time for some reason it was dead even...Please post your opinions on how this could of happened. Made me feel real good though

Who knows...

-traction issues
-hp/weight ratio
-temperature (computer pulls timing)
-driver sucks

It doesn't really matter why. It's all about winning and having a good time.

Damn amatuers.

Very simple...

The first race you had just eaten nice big italian style pasta feast and you had a full tank of gas and you also left a bunch of crap in the backseat. He on the other hand had skipped dinner, had a clean car, and was cruising on less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Also the weather that day was more friendly to his engine than yours and he was also running cooler at the time. On top of this your oil change was overdue and the oil was slightly sludgy causing increased resistance on moving parts equaling a loss in HP.

This time everything was reversed.

Any other questions, let me know. I'll be here all week.

He might want to get his car checked out, or you have a very fast LS1. I'd expect him to trap in the 114 neighborhood.

I'm starting to think that I have a factory freak. When I had just flows with stock filter I was beating my cousins 02 SS SLP and my friends 01 WS6.

Take it to the track then let us know what it runs. I think you'll find it falls in line with the majority of other LS1's.

Wouldnt that reflect more on his driving ability? A dyno is the way to tell if the car has more power than most LS1's, which i'm pretty sure is what he means by "freak"

Dyno's lie. Tracks don't.

You honestly think it takes skill to pilot a relatively stock LS1 down the track? Just stab the throttle and go straight.

Am i right to assume that the MPH is the true indicator of power?

Of course the ET is all is the launch, but you can tell if it was driven to its potential through the 60'.

I need to get my *** to the track!

Go with a wet shot, with going to 150 shot go with a wet kit, with the wet kit you do not need to upgrade your injectors and you can get away with your stock fuel pump ( but i'd upgrade to pump) with the dry kit you will need larger injectors and pump.

And with a 150 shot verses him just getting a pully you should leave his *** in the dust!!
