I killed/was killed by a 01' GT...
I'm down here in Murfreesboro, TN hanging out at this one place. A Mustang rolls in and I figured I'd go over there and talk to him.
We got to talking he said that he had a Trick Flow intake and throttle body...then he had a 75 shot...
We went to the interstate and went from a 45mph roll, first run was motor and I ended up putting 4 cars on him to 115mph...slowed back down and ran for the second time, this time he was on the spray...45mph roll and I held him at my rear tire all the way until 100mph, then he pulled me by about 1/2 a car or 3/4 car.
Thought it was pretty funny, I'm a bone stock LS1. So I killed a GT and was "slightly" beat by a GT on spray. It was fun....

Nice runs man, sounds like you're having fun with the LS1.
Are you slow or something? He's probably making just under 300 at the wheels, plus the Mustang weighs a couple hundred pounds less. Not really that hard to fathom.

Well its actually just an upper plenum good for about 5hp. I use to make around 300rwhp when I was running a dry shot without any tuning on my stock block. I never lost to any bolt on LS1s though several times they began pulling on me up top. As said above, a stang is lighter and his nitrous gives him quite the torque advantage.

Good kill/death. On the spray he was probably around 330-335fwhp. So that's probably where you're at. So atleast that evened the playing field. If you guys went from a dig it'd probably be worse. Spray run only of course, I'm sure you'd put a a bus length on him in the N/A vs. N/A match up. -Mark
