Default 02 WS6 vs 02 Saleen S281 "Supercharged"

So this weekend we had a big cruise in and car show in my town. This guy trailored a 02 Saleen S281, supercharged of course, all the way from Illinois. These guys I know set me up to race him tonite.

So 1st race we go from a 30mph roll in 1st. I pull immediately, and gradually put about 1-1 1/2 cars on him to 100mph.

2nd race: From a dig, and my clutch is a POS so I can't launch very hard. I take off at about 2k, I get the holeshot, start to pull, hit 2nd, he's still at my door, and I decide to say BYE BYE, and hit the juice SEE YA!!!! I pulled HARD! Top of 3rd coming up, I go for 4th and the clutch pedal is to the floor Trans sitting in neutral I pump the pedal to get some travel, he pulls back to my quarter panel, I finally get it in, and back on the gas, and start to pull away again, he lets off, I win.

3rd race: Dig again, we launch, I get ahead once more, hit 2nd and he's still beside me, I hit the juice again, and pulled his *** like no tomorrow I go for 4th and same thing, no pedal. Don't matter, he knows it's over and lets out, I win.

I didn't need to spray to beat this guy, beat him all motor 1st pass, and I actually woulda won by a larger margin from a dig as well, but all these people were expecting me to lose, so I figured I'd shut them up

So the LS1 represented tonite, the guy seemed a bit chapped by the loses. And no, he didn't know I sprayed him, but it's run what ya brung, and he didn't bring enough LS1

All depends on what S281. You have the older ones which were a na GT motor with minor bolt ons like pulleys. Then you have the S281SC which have around 350 hp and run low 13's, and then the newer S281E which is more of a motor and is near 03/04 cobra territory.

Good kill.

Usually the S218SC will have that badge on the rear of the car where the NA one thats not supercharged is just S281. Also the supercharged one has a two gauge pod on the dash in the center for the boost gauge and all.

Then why did I put 1+ cars on him in the 1st race? I didn't need the juice to win. I was actually getting ahead of him faster on the dig races than from the one from a roll. I just used the N20 to pour salt on the wound

Yeah, I need a new clutch BAD! I can't powershift anymore because it wants to slip some. And I have to take off very conservative to keep from slipping it too much and getting it hot when going from a dig.

I can't wait to get my Textralia in and put the Nittos on

ANY s281 suck supercharged or not.THey are mostly overpriced gt's .even the extremes are still weak considering what they cost (the few ive seen cant get over 425rwhp)..

Good kill.
