00T/a v.s. 2004 CL 55 AMG went for a cruise and saw a nice silver cl 55 amg at the traffic light when i pulled up. the light turned green and i took off just to get his attention. After shifting well into second i put it in nuetral till i seen him sly up next to me. I dropped it back into 2nd and waited for his move. We were at about 45mph and he nailed it i jumped on it and instantly pulled thsi guy shifted into third and by around 90 was a car ahead of him. He let off and at the tarffic light he flicked me off. Probably mad my 15K car beat his 120k car. I guess i would be to.

Would you be pissed if a $1000 car beat you - hell no.
He has a new luxuary car with exclusivity and worth far more 2nd than the TA was new.
Oh BTW, I'm not a Merc but an Fbody fan. Just sick of stupid comments like that. Because if all they wanted was speed, then $120k would have bought them enough performance to bitch slap a TA so hard it'd end up looking like a Mini.

mods The benz was stock im assuming. I have a ls2 port and polished throttle body,exaust,85mm MAF,315/35 drag radials,Ls6 manifold and short shifter. i dont think im forgetting anything.

its true, those AMG and M3 drivers dont take their beatings lightly. I agree with blackbird, it wasnt a rude thing to say. he probably thinks hes the fastest thing thats ever hit the streets, sort of sounds like GT mustangs

thanx guys for the support some of you have shown. It wasnt my decision to race hes teh one who came flyin back up to me so if he didnt think he was in a F1 supercar liek im sure he though he shouldnt have tried to run me. And to me personally i think my car is just as exclusive as his was.

If his reason for purchasing the car was "exclusivity" he certainly bought the wrong car... Most people cant tell a AMG Merc from a run of the mill E55. Now for that money buy a Ferrari
