Some of the earlier ones where not so quick (There where at least 2 different specs of engine). Also they need to be driven HARD to get the power from them, which many people will not do.
Take a look at this article, it has a NSX pulling a 1/4 mile: 13.17 sec. @ 107.65 mph beating an SS and only slightly behind a Formula. Click here
The newer models are quicker still, and have been clocked at 0-100mpg in 10.6 seconds. Thats not far off a new Z51 C6 Corvette.

I'd love to get 100 mpg especially with gas prices as they are
IMO, they are overpriced and need to be refreshed, I know they have made a few changes over the years but nothing major, I think even the new ones look old school. I have seen a few run hard and for the price I can name a few cars that would be way ahead of them. Anyways its just my 02 cents, I used to love them but, now its just another car to me.

But all in all you should be quicker having a modified 5.7 litre V8 compared to a stock 3.2 n/a V6?
All I was trying to say is, different cars are designed for different things. I know of many cars that are much faster than a NSX or your car which don't cost the Earth. But there are also plenty of cars that cost mre than a NSX and are slower.
Different cars, different goals. Remember round a track it would probably have been a different story (drivers permitted of course).

hehe, every article I have read, said that they should have a v8 under the hood for that price. I think they said 2007 was going to be a v8. I will see if I can find the article.
Nice kill BTW!

Can't blame them, it's not like honda doesn't have a V8. Of course, nothing in their current lineups, but they have been racing with them for years. I bet you will see them respond. Imagine a 400hp nsx.

If V8's are such a burden in your eyes, then what's your view on Ferraris, BMW's, Benz, and many other fancy, high-dollar, all-around performance cars with V8's?
Or is it just AMERICAN V8's that drive you import lovers crazy?

Ehhh, I meant what are you doing in this forum. The guy posts a STREET RACING KILL, and you bust on him cause "different cars are meant to do different things blablabla" .... please.
This is the STREET RACING / KILLS section ... there is indeed an entire AUTOX section, where you can go whine about how one car handles better the another car. In this section, however, that discussion is worthless. This section is mearly about who gets from point A to point B faster … period.
P.S. What's with the implication that an "american racing magazine" would be inferior to any other magazine?? The last I checked that "popular mechanics" magazine which performed the test you referenced in your previous post, is an "american magazine" (it's actually written right here in New York).
