top speed...
not really much of a great kill but i tapped out my speedometer flyin by a legend or some other old junky import thinkin it was a badass....5700 rpm i think the calculator said 172....im not sure i have a 00ss m6 with stock 3.42s if anyone else calculates it out and knows the tranny ratios other then those posted with the calculator i would like to know how fast i actually was going....if it matters im pushin 450 hp and my tires are 275/40/17...

im just wondering are f_bodies able to hit 200 if they had enough of a straight away and if not then how do corvettes do it different gearing??(dont really understand gearing and speed ratios)

it was pretty exciting goin above 155 and seeing the guys headlights dissapear in a few seconds....i tried it out on a decent stretch of highway in nh...

275 40 17 is no different in height than a 245 50 16 the sidewall 50 series height is incresed 1" on the 16 while the sidewall height is shortened by 1" on 40 series

i thought the stock limiter cut ya off at like 165. o well. any way i'm with grubby, no 150 with no t-tops. i've only gotten to bout 125, course our roads suck here. congrats man, it didn't scare u at all to be going bout 170 past a car? if not u got bigger cajones than i do.

At 155 that cop "way off in the distance" would be almost immediately on top of you if he was ahead of you. If he was behind, he'd be out of your vision just as quickly.

170 wasnt bad driving, but i have gone over 120 with ttops off and that sucks...literally....papers in my trunk were flyin around in my car so i had to slow down....even with the trunk cover over the end.

oh man, on the way down to Santa Barbara for Halloween, i had 3 friends with me... ttops off... and i hit 155 or 160 on highway 5... im not sure, but i definately tacked out the speedo, and shifted to 6th, but then i started dropping. My friends in the back said it sucked for them lol! but for me and my friend in front it was SO SICK! but it was past san jose, so it was a 2 lane road. ITS A HELL OF A RUSH!
