I would say maybe a little less than that due to the taller tires...

Gearing, and better aerodynamics. Lower coefficient of drag and less frontal area...less lift too, don't scare the **** out of you over 150 by feeling all floaty.

I've got an old Motor Trend with a Lingenfelter 383 LT1 Formula and it topped out at like 194 or so. I'll see if I can find it and scan it when I get a chance.

275 40 17 is no different in height than a 245 50 16 the sidewall 50 series height is incresed 1" on the 16 while the sidewall height is shortened by 1" on 40 series

I felt pretty stable goig about 155. I would have kept going but I saw a cop way off in the distance.

for one at that speed a cop will never catch you. and its awsome to know your car will do 150. just dont recommend it with the t-tops down.

i thought the stock limiter cut ya off at like 165. o well. any way i'm with grubby, no 150 with no t-tops. i've only gotten to bout 125, course our roads suck here. congrats man, it didn't scare u at all to be going bout 170 past a car? if not u got bigger cajones than i do.

At 155 that cop "way off in the distance" would be almost immediately on top of you if he was ahead of you. If he was behind, he'd be out of your vision just as quickly.

170 wasnt bad driving, but i have gone over 120 with ttops off and that sucks...literally....papers in my trunk were flyin around in my car so i had to slow down....even with the trunk cover over the end.

oh man, on the way down to Santa Barbara for Halloween, i had 3 friends with me... ttops off... and i hit 155 or 160 on highway 5... im not sure, but i definately tacked out the speedo, and shifted to 6th, but then i started dropping. My friends in the back said it sucked for them lol! but for me and my friend in front it was SO SICK! but it was past san jose, so it was a 2 lane road. ITS A HELL OF A RUSH!
