Even if the Cobra could beat the Z06 the Z06 can do so much more. The Z06 handles, brakes, and looks better than the "Terminator". Don't get me wrong I love the SVT Cobra but I know the Z06 is on another level. I mean the Z06 can eats cars that cost twice as much when it comes handling.
The thing I like about the '03/04 Cobra is I can get a used one for 24K and before I reach the 30K mark with mods I can keep up with and beat some of the supercars out there. SVT went out with a bang with that "new edge" body style didn't they.

looked pretty much dead even the last run, the first run the cobra missed a gear? also on the last run the cobra looked like it was about to pull on the vette (it actually did pull like a foot since the vette started out a foot or 2 ahead from the start)- but then the cobra let off.
z06= +1
cobra= 0
tie= -1 for both
so
zo6= 0
cobra= -1

Cobra wins, you can easily see pull on the last run... it's the faster car.
But WOW that Vette could hang with 100 rwhp less
... It would make me want to trade in my Cobra for a Vette if I modded my Cobra to the tune of ~450 rwhp and could barely pull a stock Z06.
Power to weight played a big factor here.
I'm not knocking Cobra's, they're badass!

I know this might sound a little bias, but the cobra looked like it won the 2nd race on my computer, and kept pulling ahead little by little??? Also, where are these dyno numbers coming from??? Same dyno same day I'm assuming, right? lol
and 600#'s is about the difference, HUGE!!! From personal experience, with completely equal (or close to it) drivers and equal traction, the cobra needs at LEAST 70rwhp to be able to beat it, and 40-60 more to stay even.

Those were good races but it is like comparing apples and oranges between the cars, even though they were neck and neck. It just seems like so much more effort went into the Z06 than the Cobra when the two were designed. The Cobra and a WS6 or SS would be a much better comparison IMO. Those Cobras are still damn nice but I just wish they weighed less, had better looks, and handled like that Z06 does. BTW, a guy in another thread on here picked up a '01 Z06 with 24,000 miles for $24,000. The deals are out there.

Great race. I love both of those cars and to all those that try to compare..they were designed for different purposes obviously. The cobra is a 4 seater and a pretty damn good one at that and the z06 is a track car and again..a pretty damn good one at that!

I tried downloading the latest "codec" bullshit many times over the past couple of years and it never works. Has some type of error on my comp. All other media players work fine for me. Just gets frustrating not being able to see the video's that use this software.

Looks like they're pretty much equal. the cobra would pull some, then the vette would pull it back. Obviously though, the vette's driver is better.
