RXS/350Z ed.
This guy at schol has a new RSX that he shows off likes its the ****. All that I know he's done to it is an exhaust, and rims. Ever since he got the exhaust everytime he drives past me he rev's the hell out of his engine. I answer back by reving mine and of course sounds sweeter and louder. I just want to race this guy to shut him up.
There's also this other guy with a 350Z (a friend of the RSX kid). Everyday before and after school this guy does burnouts and doughnuts. I've seen them both with their buddies always look at me everytime I arrive and leave like I aint got ****. Especially when he ehard me say that I got 100hp advantage. Almost nobody believes me when I say my car is pushing around 300hp at the wheels.
Now ,no laughs or insults please, my question would be, how much would it take for this guys to actually keep-up with me and for the to actually deserve their cockiness.

The RXS would require full intake/exhaust/possibly internals and definitely FI. The 350Z would require FI or an ALL OUT bolt-on with a small shot of N20. I am about like a stock LS1 and i put 2 cars on a 350Z from 70 to 90 using 4th gear (could have gone 3rd until 85) You will rape them. PS. I hate flowmasters even though i run them.

you will bitch slap the rsx, and the 350z's are comparable stock for stock with lt1's. so if you can drive you should take them both out. just make sure and get it on video. teach these ricers a lesson.

He he he, you guys seriously make the RSX sound like a factory poser as a "performance compact" (still getting used to the term). Is there really any plus side to getting one and showing it off. A friend tells me with 20 grand, theese cars would kill kill anything on the road. I tell him that give me 20 grand and I'll show him what a REAL PERFORMANCE CAR can do.
P.S. out of topic but the past owner put what looks like a full 3in exhaust from the cats all the way back, custom y, I-pipe, etc.(not mandrel bent). Seems kinda squished at the top of the axle. Would this out perform the American Thunder cat-back?

Seems like you just got the car, so I'd be careful. You have a big advantage, but if you are not a good driver I can see how 350z can outdrive you.
Go practice your launches and shifting on the highway.

An RSX with full bolt ons and their coveted Hondata 4 (computer stuff) can trap a decent mph (it can break 100mph), yet the launch capability is limited.
So, even stock, you have no problem with either guy. Go race them.

This should be no contest for you. The RSX isnt even really worth racing, except to shut him up. The 350Z isnt a whole lot better off. I see you have a manual, so if you really wanna hurt there feelings, race them from a dig or if its a roll just make sure your in your powerband. If you roll race them while your at 4000 rpms it will be a very ugly sight for them. And a very funny one for you. Just try to avoid racing from like 40-50 mph. Granted you will still win, but it wont be nearly as spectacular. If you get them at like 25-30 in first, then ther next day all your gonna hear is excuses on how they mis-shifted, car needs tuning(great excuse on pretty much stock cars, lol), or its just not running right.
What you really need to do though is get rid of that flowmaster exhaust. It has been known to take hp from you. Just some FYI and good luck on kicking there asses. If you keep the flows then get a cut-out.

350z's make 244whp and 238 ft/lbs of torque stock and run low 14's but i've seen one with a twin turbo and exhaust and the owner said it was making about 340whp? and runnig high 12's to low 13's. So i guess you have to mod the hell out of it to get it to be fast, you should have no problem beating him even if its modded pretty good becuase that dosnt mean much on 4 cyl and 6 cyl's. and im sure rxs's suck, prolly not even breaking 200whp.

All i can say is, practice the hell out of driving your car, and at least once, do a burnout right in front of them, if possible into the wind so they get a nice smell.
Seriously both those cars are pretty pathetic until you totally void their warrenties, if you get my drift.

the 350Z will lose. I own a 350Z and think you should teach him a lesson or two. If that dude knew anything about cars he'd at LEAST think it'd be a close race if not lose by a few car lengths. He SHOULD be cautious with his ego, but the thing I hate about most 350Z owners is they think they're hot sh** just cause the car is newer
A full out bolt on NA Z will be just under 300whp and around 3000 lbs and accellerate through the powerband as if it had 320whp if they have a tilton clutch, gearing, underdrive pulley, light rotors/wheels/tires etc. People usually get low 13's or possibly high 12's if they have good tires with that setup
doubt he has any real mods though.

RSX - I took one out that had a Turbo without an issue. Had 2 cars on him by 90, and I short shifted out of first (my mistake for not recognizing his jump). My brother just got an A-spec, and I'll be moving closer to him come this summer. Maybe I'll get it on video...
350Z - depends, but most people don't have the money it takes to make them too much faster than stock.
