Default GT Stang Q...

So there is this guy on the block that traded in his 70's (dont know exact year) for a mustang GT. I dont know the year on it but it is somewhere around 2000 or so. It isnt hte 4.6liters. He said he runs 14.8-14.5 at around 96ish ABOVE SEA LEVEL (mile or so). We race up at bandimere but Ive never had the TA on the track. Should I be able to beat this at sea level? i have Lid, SLP catback, spec stage 3 clutch and a 12bolt with 4.11s. No stickies here though.

Any idea what the outcome would be? I have *heard* he has intake exhaust 4.10s and an ECU upgrade.

The only 2000ish mustang that ISNT the 4.6L is the 2000Cobra R....

14.5-14.8 Sounds like an automatic 99-04 GT and yes, you should murder him. Even if he does have gears/ecu tune.

Yeah your right about what alot of auto 99-04 GT's get. They are capable of better than that though. My stock '02 GT auto conv ran a 14.5 at 98 in hot and humid weather down at the Valdosta, Ga track. I know she's capable of doing better because on that 14.5 run through the 1/8 it was 9.5 at 76.80. Since then I've been able to drop that down to 9.3 in cooler weather which would equate to a 14.3 at 98 time for a bone stock auto convertible GT.

A buddy of mine has a 00 GT with all the bolt ons except for an electric waterpump. His best time to date is a 13.68 on a 2.0ish 60ft time. Yeah, when we race, well, it isn't one

Our track is about a mile high too. DA is usually much much higher than that (as high as 8-9000ft )

That's about what a pretty decently modded one will do with a good driver. At least up here. My stock time up here was 14.3@98. You should be trapping 100-103 (again guesses from other f-bodies here), so you should be able to take him no problem.

I talked with this guy again the other day. He says he is always missing 4th gear, either throwing it into 2nd or just not being able to make it at all. Guess he isnt as good of a driver as he seems.

I used to live in Golden. I could hear top fuelers at Bandi from my house. It was freaking awesome. Anyway.

You'll kill him. Stock F-Bods are solid mid 14s at Bandi, and you have some nice mods. My question is why not run some stickies since you already have the 12 bolt? Probably be a great bang for the buck for you at this point.

Have fun with this guy. I feel bad for Colorado GT guys. They have to be pissed when they get killed by SRT4s and all all the time.

Honestly I havent ran stickies yet b.c the 12 bolt isnt IN the car yet. I blew out the 10 bolt about a week ago and Im still waiting for the 12bolt w the 4.11s to arrive.
