What's with the crazy low (considering the 800+ hp) torque numbers?

A member of this board that doesn't post too much has raced him before. The TA won against the Evo with both of them on Pump gas when the Evo was pushing about 600whp. Both cars have been redone, can't wait for the rematch. That EVO is one sick little car.

Now a 400AWHP, 500AWHP and 600AWHP are a handful on the street, but 800AWHP+???

Remember the tune has not been maxed yet and the boost can still be turned up more. Sickness!

I would like to see what the setup can do with true pump gas and some alky/meth injection. I think 700awhp is possible. No?

Small displacement...i've never seen a high horsepower small cubic inch motor make anywhere near as much torque. Regardless of make.

Horsepower sells cars...torque wins races...

obviously a cool car, but does anyone else think the 42psi will blow the engine the first time down the 1/4 mile track? it just seems far fetched to me that it will last.

No it wont. The 4G63 is one of the strongest motors ever designed. The stock bottom end will laugh at 25 psi in daily driver cars and a built bottom will do the same with this amount. Again this all has to do with the tune, but AMS is really good at what they do. There shop car has lasted for along time with almost the exact same setup.

in FI cars its 90% tune, 10% structure from just listening to everyone who runs mad boost levels.

The EVO did 450whp on the pump gas tune on the old turbo.

The EVO and the blue Z06 should be a cool race since they were so close last time, and since both are actually driven around on the street and not sitting on a trailer like some cars. The Z06 is now making 711whp btw. Should be a nice race for comparison sake to the old turbo.
