Man I would like to say you would win. But it wouldn't be the truth. Now that does not mean dont race. Hell race and find out where you stand and then mod and race again. We all get beat!

if that guy doesn't miss more than one shift, you're loosing. Even with a crappy spinning launch on his part, he'll catch up quickly, considering he's got a 40-50hp advantage.

From what ive seen of the 03 cobras you could possibly win this one depending on a couple of things. If he misses a shift and you dont then i think you will definately win. If your racing at the track then you need a bad *** launch and he needs to not know how to launch for you to win. The stock 03 cobras ive seen at the track run 12.9-13.2's. So its definately gonna be a drivers race. If hes a sucky driver you might be able to take him.

If he's stock and you can run a 13 flat, it will be a drivers race. Stock cobras run high 12's and low 13's.

my brother in law has an 03...NOT stock but if I were you, Id race him to 3rd, agree to 3rd and give it all you got. If you win, never race him again! Victory. He is sure to go get a 2.8 pulley and a good tune and cai/exhaust. Then you have BIG problems. Race now, win and never race again!

definately a drivers race!!. missed shift, depending on how long it takes to get it back, usually .2-.4 tenths

ran my car at atco, good launch 2.09 60' missed a shift, but got it back pretty quick-13.3@ 108mph
ran again- same night good launch 2.06 60' perfect shifts, 12.97@110

Race him! It's the only way you'll know were you as a driver and your car stands as wel as for him.

Race him!! I will tell you the cobra has more power than you, but if he is a bad driver you can win. Just race him, it doesnt matter if you win or lose, racing is fun either way. Maybe before you race, get yourself a 100 dry shot for a few hundred $$ and surprise him.

I'm confused...an average cobra drivers clicks off low 13's. His SS ran a 13 flat WITHOUT DR's and the cobra driver sounds worse than average, so he'd almost have trouble losing, right?

Don't go dry go WET.... If you want a little more Top end get rid of your muffler! I had a Magna Flow as well and ran 13.2 with it. I cut it off and ran 12.8 with everything else the same.

It will be a close race. My 03 ran 12.6@113 when it was brand new and dead stock but I have seen so many of them cars run slow its not even funny. Everybody thinks that every 03 Cobra will run in the 12s when its stock but thats not even close. I went to the SVT day last year at Lebanon Valley and watched three 03 Cobras run mid 13s and one had an intake and exhaust. When my wifes 01 WS6 was almost stock with just a lid and a filter it ran 12.8 @111 and I outran a couple of 03 with that car.

Be carefull though because they can be very fast very easy.

Does that mean he's seen alot of STOCK cobras race, and they all run 12 second time slips? 13 seconds flat would be a good average for a stock cobra. Some run 12's some run low 13's. This would be a drivers race if I've ever seen one. I wouldn't bet the savings on a STOCK cobra that's racing a 13.00 car....

I would like to say that I have not seen stock 03 cobras run much better than 13 flat, having raced them before from my experience you should win mainly because of the DR's.... being that he is a bad driver that should make you kick his *** in the 60' especially with your tires. They are heavier so I wouldn't worry about your top end as long as you can launch good.
