05 Mustang GT Vs. 03 GMC Sierra Z71 hey guys.....I had to tell you this one! Saturday night, I was in my truck (03 GMC Z71 5.3 with a lot of mods.) with a friend of mine driving me (sober driver).....and this guy rolls up on me....with his 05 GT Stang....bone stock.
He wants to run em' from a roll of course, he's got a 5 speed....my truck's an auto w/ a TC, Shift kit, Full exhaust, CAI, NelsonPerformance Tune, 3.73 w locker.
1st run from 40mph my truck pulled a truck length on him and it took an 8th of a mile for him to catch me, but he coulden't pass me.
2nd run he got a jump on me an pulled about 2 cars.....before I pulled back to his quarter panel.
3rd run we kicked at the same time and my truck actually won by a half length.
I was like...."oh man you got owned by a truck".....so he cried around saying his traction control limited him on the 1st and last runs.....then he said his clutch was slipping. I could only say one thing to him....."LS1 Truck bitch!!!"
Needless to say he then would not race my buddy's Z28 when we asked....said he had to go home. Wonder why.
My truck ain't the slowest thing in the world.....but maybe he ain't the best driver either.
What do you guys think?

Imagine my suprise! I figured it would have ran me better than that......I mean eventhough my truck is far from stock.....it should still loose to a "sports car"....of that calibur. Unless....they just don't run as well as I would believe.

by a big *** truck, those are my favorite kills, lol. Like the thread on here from yesterday about a duramax killing the cammed s10. Funny that the mustang driver used the ricer clutch excuse.

Are you sure it was a GT model man?? The 2005 models are 300HP stock, and considering you are probably pushing similar power yet have a 2,000lb weight disadvantage, its just seems kind of improbable that you would win.
Who knows though, maybe the guy just couldn't drive stick for his life

Ricer "traction" excuse or not........I call it....."LS1 truck bitch"....lol.....I still think my ol' hauler proved itself.

me and my buddy rape 350Z's all day long in his 03 Denali truck 9rollin on (24's). Race from 0-30mph and they give up, but little they know theyd pass us as soon as we were out of first gear.
