Default Got 8 by a M3!

I was on my way to school around 7AM when I see this newer model M3. I know its the latest model though like a 03. I pull next to him and he just stares at me. Next thing you know he's riding my ***, so I smash on it and I could see I'm slowly pulling, but I slow down because of traffic. So he's still riding my *** when we get a good stretch up ahead. He gets in the left lane and he smashes on it and I'm in 3rd so I smash too(waited for the line up ) Instead smashes by and I'm on it and I'm at his rear bumper and it stays like that even when I hit 4th then I can't top 4th because of railroad tracks up ahead. Damn! He won though exactly by 1 car. FAST CAR and very NICE! If we lined them up from a roll and took off at the same time would I have won? Because I really underestimated THESE M3's. kinda disappointed that I lost, but I gave him his props. Do you think I would have caught up if we kept going up to higher speeds? SILVER CLEAN M3 that took me and now I want some revenge. Good race though! He sure surprised me

It's so sad that today's V6's are in the power ranges of the LS1. makes my 6 look like an 89 Civic.

Good race though. They have 333bhp. ( at 7900 rpm )

They are a close call against an LS!. Seem to pull pretty nicely at 120+. He might pull on you teh faster you go above that. Can't be sure though but they get to 150 pretty quick.

ive raced 2, one manual one smg, one is my neighbor (the manual one) and from a dig, if you can beat them outa the hole, then they cant catch you, but its hard to catch them, from a roll, i pulled one, like 40ish to 90, and put about 1 on the smg which is the "faster" one?? i htink my 3.73's helped there tho

M3's have a straight six. Pretty sick cars. Rev to 8k. Fancy too.

Nice race

Those M3's are definitely fast cars for sure. I've heard they have some engine problems though, namely with oil consumption

I ran a Z3 M roadster and was dead even 60 to 100 with the guy. We let off at that point. I belive it was a newer M (02 or newer with the more powerful engine).

i raced one from 80-120. I got about a car length on him and it stayed that way till 120. He had a passenger so maybe that was what did it. I only had a lid and LM for mods at the time.

They are fast no doubt and arguably one of the prettiest cars on the road today.

There's one at the local 1/8th mile track almost every weekend. He runs 8.5's in average air (70 degrees), 8.7's when it's nasty hot out (90+ degrees). I haven't seen him run in 40 degree weather but I'd guess he'd probably run some 8.4's or even 8.3's. He traps 82-83 MPH most of the time so he'd be a decent race for most stock LS1's and could even beat quite a few. I talked with him at the end of last season and he's getting the new model M3 when it comes out. It's supposed to have the V8 from the M5 that puts out well over 400 horsepower. It that info was accurate the new M3's are going to be a problem for a lot of people.

M3's are sweet cars. Before I did the cam in my lt-1 car I got hammered by one. It was close to about 60-65 then it was lights out for me...lol
