My life is complete...Raced a Viper
My daily commute is 83 miles each way (60 of it interstate), and with the seasonal traffic, I usually drive my beater to work. However, Saturday's are the exception as the traffic is usually lighter and non-existant on my drive home Sunday mornings. When I pulled out of my driveway I flipped on the bottle warmer in the off chance that I ran across a player on my way in. As luck would have it, I followed a cop onto the "I" and he didn't exit until 18 miles later. I ran with an Audi S4 during a long stretch of empty road, not racing, just tooling at 100-110 until the traffic started building. Then, about 10 miles later, my luck took a definite turn for the better. I saw what I thought was a viper merge into traffic waaaay up ahead and start weaving in and out of traffic so I said WTF and hauled *** to catch up. I finally manage to pull up along side a canary yellow '05 viper with a younger guy driving. I give him the hang loose sign and motioned that I wanted to run. He smiled and nodded his head, so I held up three fingers to tell him I would honk it off. We backed down to about 65 for about a minute to give some breathing room in front of us. I looked over and gave him a thumbs up and then gave 3 slow honks. When my converter flashed I got some drift from the back end but hooked quickly, and promptly put his nose at my back bumper. By 125 we were closing on traffic fast, so we shut it down. We pulled off the interstate and chatted for a few minutes. He was very cool, and said "I saw you go into your console and figured you had nitrous, but I still thought I would beat you, you were pulling me good". He said his car was stock and complimented me on my ride.

What is the 'hang loose sign'?
Youre adreniline must have spiked.
People say they can take this, or take that.
But like any experince in life, talking and walking are two different tales.
Nice Race, and good sportsmanship on both sides.

Awesome kill dude... pretty cool that the Viper guy was cool about being beaten, my experience has been that Viper guys are usually pretty cocky and don't take well to being beaten, but then again I've probably met maybe 3

Awesome kill man! I had the same experience against an '05 Canary Yellow Viper SRT10 with a younger guy driving it when I was in my Cobra. Did the Viper you raced have a black cowl. If so, it might be the same guy as I live in South Florida as well. Anyways, we raced from a dig at the light on SW18th Street just before the Turnpike Overpass up to about 130 mph. I launched hard and put about a car on him through 1st and shift to 2nd and armed my 75-shot and sprayed him all the way up to 130 and ended up with about 2.5-3 cars on him. He was a cool guy about it and was very impressed and gave me a thumbs up. I never got a chance to pull over and talk with him though. Anyways, keep up the good kills man. Take it easy.

What part of Florida? Theres a younger guy around here in a yellow one begging me to run with him but I only have the mods in my sig and its just not fair. I told him straight up he'd beat me but he still persists. These guys are cocky for real. If i had my car and an extra 50 grand to equal his car it would be a nightmare!
