I'm sorry for the uninformed... So there's a car meet every Wednesday night at a local CEC. There's a kid with an '00 SS M6. He's got ZR1 wheels with tires way to big for 'em, rubbing the fenders, a "Magnaflow exhaust" that is actually a Flowmaster muffler welded to the stock piping with huge chrome tips, and an SLP Lid. His motor runs poorly and he's not that great of a driver. Supposedly he's "bored out" and pushing "mad hp". He also claims to have spray, but the bottle was at home.
So I have a '01 SS M6 with a lid and cutout.
He's been wanting to run me since I had my Formula, now I have the SS and he's still begging for it. Normally, I'll never run on the street. I just don't like it, the track is where I'm at home. I finally gave in and told him I'd run him.
He asks whats done to mine, I told him a lid. He says ok, but you know I'm pusing 360 to the wheels and youre only at 280 stock...
I tell him that's fine. He smiles and get his "boyz."
Well we finally run and I put a solid 4 cars on him, and I can hear him bouncing off the rev limiter each shift. When we get back to the parking lot with everyone, he claims I have "internals," while his buddy says I have "bottom-end spray." He's pissed and wants to fight me...wow.
I guess rice boys can get ahold of Camaros too, and it kills me that after the race when I offered to help him out with mods and get his car running better, he would rather fight me.
Oh well thats my long and boring story.

Yeah and the other is where they mount it to the valve covers. Then they swear for some strange reason it really doesnt work.

wow what a jackass. sad thing is i know a few people like that, ricers that get a V8 and think the same **** will fly. One guy i know used to have an 89 350 formula. Said it made 300 something horsepower. Not a weak car but it's not particularly strong either.
that's a shame that kid's SS is having to submit to such molestation.
