Default Srt-4 Stage 4 and 03' Cobra both handled

A srt-4 stage 4 tried to pass me and i hit it in first gear spinning into second and finally letting off at about 65, I spun the whole time. Ya he went bye bye.
Now my car is sputtering randomly and the driver side plugs are all wet, something with the connector or computer i would guess. But it runs good most the time im confused??????

Also had 4 ppl in the car and a 03 cobra was pulled away from by me on the interstate!
THis is with 350-400 miles on my new ls7 clutch.
Very happy with it!!!

I thought the SRT-4's only went to a stage 3, and that was a turbo swap?

As far as mopar upgrades go, yeah stg3 is the limit. But there are after market kit, APG and a few others the go as far as stg5.

How do you know it was a stage 4 if it just went "Bye, Bye."

If he wasnt BSing you dont have enough to pull him on the highway, especially if you had people in the car. HAd to be a HUGE *** turbo to only be on 15 psi and making that much power. I had an SRT4 with your typical turbo swap and it put down about 370 to the wheels and easily handled a heads and cam Trans Am making 420 rwhp on the highway and I had a passenger and he didnt. I also took down a C6 pretty easily. That just doesnt add up, he was BSing or something was up with his car. 370 whp in a 2900 pound car is down right nasty.

actually they are alil lighter than 2900lbs. my friend had his weighed with full interior, 18inch heavy wheels, and 2 subs in the trunk. he weighs 205lbs himself and had a 1/4 tank of gas and the car weighed at 2816 to be exact with him in it.

ya well im telling ya how it went, b4 we raced he went by at about 20-30 lighting them up.
I am not sure whether or not he has 370 at the wheels or not.
I was alone while racing him, had ppl while racing the cobra.
My car was dynoed with the prev. owner at 460 at the wheels supposedly. I ran 113 mph at the track with a slipping clutch and 92 octane. I will take it to the track with the ls7 clutch which is in now and put race gas in for the timingand 11.1 comp.
It pulled like mad when i raced him and i pulled prly a car or so from 20-65 i wasnt staring back so im not quite sure how much i pulled.

Anyone know what a stage 3 typicall runs for hp at the wheels and boost?
and whats the diff btwn stage 3 and "4"
I jsut know he was fast and i was a lil bit faster than him.
I am sure he was spinning as well as i was if not more.

Uuumm.... There is now way a neon is only 2500lbs-2600lbs. You've seen a del sol right? Those things look like 2 doored gokarts compared to neons (or any car for that matter), and they weigh about 2500lbs.

There's no way thats even possible. The SRT-4's stock curb weight alone is over 2900lbs. Adding in 18 inch wheels, subs, and a 200+ lb driver should be putting him somewhere in the neighborhood of 3200-3300lbs.

Better re-check your math there...

That scale was terribly wrong. One of my best friends has one with 17's and some gutted interior, no wing, and he weighs 225 and the car weighed 3145 with half tank gas.

I call BS. There's no way you fit 4 people in a trans am! Good Kill or story. Either way. good. I think the story got stretched from the srt owners mouth and then just happened to get pulled a little more everytime the story got told again. And wouldn't a big turbo like that take a while to spool up so a small roll like 20 to 65 might not have been enough for it to make 15#'s.

Damn 460 is about the highest numbers Ive seen from a heads and cam only LS1. That **** is making more than my 408 was on all motor when it had the smaller cam in it. Im guessing he probably didnt have 370 to the wheels is all thats going on here.

Which is why I think the guy was BSing him. I ran 21 psi on a 50 trim to make like 375 at the wheels.
