Default It feels good to be back

Howdy guys. Sorry no vid this time. I just put a Th400 in the Hooker. Her first night out was pretty fun. I went to a buddy of mines house to grind my calipers down so I could hit the track on some half *** tires.
We did what we had to do and headed out. He has a 383 LS1 00 Z28. The thing is badass and sounds great. I think it dynoed around 440rwhp. Well needless to say as we went our merry way to the track we lined'em up on the ol' highway.
I was giddy as a first day *****! I hadnt raced in almost 3 long months. So anyways, he inches up to me on my left side. I down shift into 2nd gear. As soon as I down shift he hits it with me punching it almost right after him.
Both cars pull real hard on the initial hit. But after a 100ft or so I inch away. After I am in 3rd gear a little I have about 4 on him and climbing. We let out and I went to the track with a smile on my face.
I really thought I would hate this TH400. I didnt loose a thing besides ET at the track. Of which I am not real satisfied with at this moment. But over all the tranny is great and I recomend one to everybody wanting to get a bullet proof tranny.

Thanks. At this point it feels rather anticlamatic.

Come on Scott, I ran 11s on motor in that thing on the stock 10 bolt. You can do better than that.

Good to see you back in the saddle Scott. I know how you felt. I was the same way when I finally got to drive mine again.

i just started driving my 99 SS M6 this week after an 18 month hiatus. i almost forgot how much fun the 4.11's are. on a side note, i was doing donuts at this business park near my house, and got into a high speed chase with the security guard. I LOVE MY LS1!!!

Yeah yeah. Try and do it with a 4k stall and not able to heat up the tires. I am disgusted........yes. But I only got 2 runs in. Some schmuck on a busa did cart wheels down the track and put fluid all over. I called it a night after that.
I am dialing in the breaks now. I was pushing through the damn things. I need 28's and a 12bolt also. I still keep that axle piece in the car as a reminder Wayne. I went a sorry *** 11.7 @ 120mph on a 2.0 60.

Man that car has WAY more in it on motor alone. Dont be scared to launch on the 10 bolt, all of the initial shock is gone now that your an Auto car. We have guys here running high 10s on the stock 10 bolt and stock tranny with less hp than you have just one motor. One you spray it should easily go 9s.

dude once again with the kind of horsepower you're supposedly making and now with a turbo 400 and 4k stall the car should be trapping alot higher even with that kind of 60. also with the automatic 1.50 60's will be easy on the stock 10 bolt.

Yeah I know all this guys. I am dialing in the new setup. There is a vibration in the drive line that I am none to happy with, gotta chase that down. The car blew the little 26's off. I am a bit nervous about the rear but it doesnt stop me. The N2O isnt even conected right now. Hell the center console isnt even in it.lol
I will get her to where she needs to be. 3700lbs with me in it. I will keep her full weight also. The trap speeds have me thrown a bit. I have gone as high as 124. But 120 is where she stays normally. Next weekend will roll around and I will update you guys on this.
Needless to say I was PISSED! I had a buddy drive her and he did worse. So I know it isnt my driving. The guy is good. The Hooker just needs some more love. SHe pulls way F'n harder now than she ever did with that cursed T56!

I was not using the juice. I did it with 500 rwhp. Probably less than that now with the auto and stall.

Yeah, the stock f-body brakes suck major donkey dick. I can get 3000 on the foot brake and thats it. Try stainless lines and Ford HD fluid, it helps.
