A few fun races last night! So I got a call from a friend letting me know about some races going on last night. So we all meet up at 11:00 pm and just hang around till about 11:30. After that we all go out to the freeway and lined em up in the order that we decided to run. My first run was against an 06 STI with I believe an up pipe n tuning. We did a 60 roll with me in 3rd. 3 honks and I steadily pulled on him a few cars to about 130. So he decides he wants another run. We do it again with me pulling about 1 1/2 to 2 cars. So another guy pulls up in a C6 it sounded stock. Both of us were m6's this time it was at about 50 with me in 3rd, he gets the jump about 1 car (i was too low in rpms) and I am steadily pullin back I was at his door when we came up on traffic and had to let off in the middle of 4th. THEN I line up with my buddy that called me to let me know about the races. He recently put a vortec supercharger on his 98 z28. He also has hooker LT, ory, n a cut out with tuning. We go from a second gear roll. I pull a half car through 2nd n 3rd and when I shift to 4th he pulls a car and when I shifted to 5th he pulled another car. Next was the STI again and a EVO. I pulled the sti again by about 2 cars n the evo pulled me by about 2 cars. I found out that the evo had a few bolt ons with the stock tubro running 26 psi. I was pretty happy overall!
My mods are: lid, FAST 78mm intake manifold, ud pulley, LT's with ory pipe, cut out, magnaflow cat back, and 3.73 gears with tuning. I made 346 rwhp n 351 rwtq
One question tho people told me that they saw fire come out my exhaust when I was racing.... could this be cuz of the cut out?????? Cuz I sometimes hear poppin noises with the cut out open

Good Races! Sounds like a badass night.
One question: Your friend has a vortech s/c z28 and was behind until 4th and only beat you by 2 cars??? His car must be running shitty or something. What kind of numbers did he put down? Did I miss something in the story that would explain this?

He actually told me that he wasnt happy with the place that tuned his car because first off they charged him $600 bucks and he did 390rwhp. He said every1 he talked to said he should be over the 400 rwhp mark. he let me drive it the day before and I didnt get totally on it but I did give her some gas and it didnt seem that fast. He said he thinks its in the tune. He also has 145,000 miles on her. Oh yeah hes running stock boost 5 psi

How much did you pay for the tune and was it a full dyno tune with efi live or hp tuners? If so they should be able to retune you for a fraction of the initial cost, as thats what most tuners in my area do since they already have your pcm stored. Im sure your just running rich, which isnt necessarily a BAD thing, but if your running too rich its just going to kill your MPG and cause a little extra build-up in your engine depending on how rich you are. Im guessing rich because when my buddies EVO was getting tuned he was running real rich when he brought it in after a few mods and it was shooting flames out his exhaust, but it stopped after the tune.
