Good kill - watch out, ponygt65 might come along and accuse you of having 'an issue' with Stangs...lol

Your sucha panzy. You obviously haven't been around the street kill section lately. I have no problem with chevy's (other than I prefer stangs). I am a very non-biast person when it comes to performance. Some LS owners here know me from SVTP. Your posts were very 'F-U' to all mustang owners. IE: CHILDISH. You need to grow up.

I was actually going to come in here an say how I loved the title. Nice kill. I hate it when arrogant people think they can take on everything on the road. Especially with the 96-98 Stang GT's....those were the slowest (stock). BTW - sorry for the dig on chevy truckBOI. I didn't mean to go off topic.

Two fat chicks and some guy in a Mustang isn't a horse. It's an obese hippo.

I would have said Donkey myself...they can pull/haul more weight than a horse...and the driver matches JACKASS better.

Good kill on the heavily hindered pony. You more or less shot it, while it was down, with a shotgun.

good kill...those older 5.0's need a built motor with forced induction and nitrous just to keep up with a bolt on LS1

yep, they do need some motor work to keep up with a bolt on ls1, but being a former fox body guy, i do know how deadly they can be with a blower and a purpose built motor. My old motto was boost is addictive, and pulleys are cheap, so let the carnage begin. Needless to say stock 302 blocks and t-5's hated me.

Well, it seems that it was not quite a fair setup. This dude had to haul an extra 800 lbs around. Without the gelatinous passengers you may have had a 10 sec. Mustang by your side!

I hope that was a joke. My stock block H/C/I Vortech 5.0 would murder a bolt-on LS1. And dare I say, many of the H&C ones I see here.

Really. I have 350hp to the tires...I raced several 302's with H/C/I etc. and 6-8lb S/C's and put lengths on them....And they all had good drivers.

You can dump so much money into them and you don't get a lot of love back.

I watched horsepower TV the other day and they built a 302 up real nice H/C/I etc. and it made 255 to the wheels....big whoop.

hmmm... that doesn't seem right to me at all. i got a buddy with a 5.0 who has a decent sized cam (still stock heads), different intake, and N/A. he has exhaust work too. he's putting 400 at the fly... and he's not the only one who has that setup. 255 at the wheels with H/C/I seems awfully weak to me.

At the fly?? you had it on an engine dyno?

Sorry, dont' mean to be a jerk, but there are SOO MANY variances in drivetrain loss, I don't trust Flywheen estimates. Not to mention, I have only come across one person to date that has the math skills to figure out Fly wheel power from RWHP...not saying you don't, I am just giving reason as to why I have a hard time believing them.

That's nice. I'm not basing my posts on a TV show though. My 89 no-option notch went 10.90@124 1.59 60'. C-4, TFS heads, Crower cam, Ported GT-40, 10lb. SQ Vortech. Never dyno'd it myself but my cousin ended up with the motor in his vert and it made 435/437 at the wheels. You must be running into some tired, untuned 5.0's.
