Z28 with some guddies VS 04 Saleen with SC Well was at cruising weekend and the weather was shitty almost the whole weekend almost... so Saturday night is nice and going out took look for some fun... and like always at Ocean City all the mustangs are driving together.
Well I ended up at a light with a 04 Saleen with sc setup and a new gt on the other side.... they both laughs and asked if the chevy would run.. you know the anwser the chevy is always up for that....
I spin like crazy but so do they and we are dead even to we have to brake for the next light. But hey atleast the tires are heated up now.
Now there is a cop sitting like 3 cars behind us and we just roll out easy, he pulls off to the right and he GT honks the horn.... we are going like 30mph and I ******* stump it, and break the tires loose again and damm my **** actually rolls out on even the Saleen. We raced til like 85 and I had almost 2 cars on him, we had to slow down for another red light.
I most admit I was smiling like a little kid and it was hard not to be sitting there with a dumb *** grin on my face, most of all because I did not even think I would win.
Well the dude then asked me what I have done and i tell me I have all bolt on's and head, headders and cam and a tune. He then asked me what tires and I tell him I got Nitto's on the boat.
Well the dude did not believe me, he was sure I had a SC too or running NOS and a least a 100 shot. Well had to prove him wrong, we pulled in to a parking lot and showed him i was not lying. After that he was still sceptical... I was still smiling and just rolled out again.
Damm good day that was...

I bought the stuff from Texas speed...
PRC 1.5 heads and the torquer cam (niiiiiiice sound)
dont know the headders name sorry... and then al the bolt on's
moser 12 bolt rear with 3.73
I am happy with the car but damm mine is a convertible and it is very heavy with the swaybars and new rearend... It is a boat

Yeah he tried but yeah they are really slow.. got a collegues with a 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo with a chip and bigger intercooler, he can run with them on the highway....
He dropped back right away...

NIce kills...I can't stand arrogant driver's. They need to open their eyes to other cars around them.
As for the S/C saleen..I am not surprised if he was all stock. Those things are more bark than bite......~320 RWHP...kind of sad really. Low 13s stock....you should have beat him with his setup......and to shut up their 'attitudes'.

I hope that saleen had a little something done b/c I would think that a heads/cam ls1 would pull harder than that....I guess it was only to 85 but still....

I hate the new Gt's and the Shelby is not worth 65K, but the new Saleens are ok in my book.
