My 96 GT is super fast! LMFAO! My friend last week bought an 07 Mustang GT. It has 3.55 gears and what not. Very nice car. The color is awesome.
Anyways, we met up at Burger King, he was out "launching his car" as soon as he saw my stang he wanted to race. I didnt because its out of alignment, and it has a motor mount. Its not in good shape at all. After we ate, we went out to the freeway to try out the car.
My car only puts down 208rwhp and 277rwtq. Only thing it has is a K&N Filter and a catter magnaflow x-pipe. The power is actually quite good because the car is rated at 215hp and 285tq.
First race we were side by side for quite a while. He started to pull but like half a car LOL! I was LOLing after that. The second race I was messing around with what gear I should put it into. Wrong one I guess because he put like 2 cars on me from 55 to like 95 or so. The following race, he missed the gear twice lol. The third race I let off because there was a curve coming up. The last race was again like half a car.
I was laughing my *** off hahahahah. I still cant believe it. He just got the car, but roll racing is not hard at all.
I wasnt all there during the race so I have no idea what I was shifting at, I was just going by the sound of the motor.
Cant wait till we go at it in the LS1

Sounds like your TQ is what made those races so close......well, that and he is new to the car. Your TQ number isn't much lower than a stock S197. The S197s fall flat after the 1/8th or so in 1320. There advantage is the close gears in teh tranny paired with teh rears (autos still have the 3.27s). That is why they ahve great 0-60 times. Funny thing is..the autos have better ratios than the M5s which is why they have better 0-60 as well.
Nice runs. I test drove an 07 not too long ago. I was looking at getting a GT/CS. I wasn't impressed at all with the highway 'pull'. They are great from a stop...but that's it.

Well he said he's surprised a couple LT1's.
And its very possible...
What I meant was, an LT1 should take a 5.0 or 4.6 everytime, 94-98
1999+ they start getting better...
