01 Z28 vs Civic, siggghhhh
I was driving to my schools football game today. Some sweet *** civic with some big *** wing(sarcasm) flys up on me, i ignore it. Next, he starts revving at me. I roll my window down and he actually had the nerve to say "are you ready for an *** beating". I tell him to follow me, he does. We drive down a favorite road of mine and make a u-turn. Go from a 1st gear pull, i pulled on him by around 10+ cars by the middle of third gear.
Sometimes it makes me wonder how so many people can underestimate our cars by such a large margin. It also surprises me how few people have even heard of the LSX series motors. I know all of us have heard the "what's faster your car or that stock 1996 Mustang GT", or at least something similar.

I try to look at it as not the underestimation of your cars, but the over estimation of the F&F group. Cause you know, add about 500 to 1k lbs of plastic, some steelies, and a ton of spray paint, and you've got yourself a super car.... or so I've been told.
EDIT: Damnit. Brad beat me to it.

Of course most hondas are slow but there are exceptions to the rule:
My old high 11 sec tt supra got owned by a gutted civic hatch...it was quite humiliating for me. Not sure what kinda mods the civic had as he would not open his hood (I'm guessing a motor swap & direct port nitrous).
On the other hand my s/c tacoma beat a turbo civic once...he must not have been setup/tuned very well to get beat by a 14 second 4x4.
I have not been beat by a civic in the t/a yet...but it could easily happen if I ran into the wrong car. That's one of the reasons I have nitrous so that I can hold my own against all but the best without too much humiliation. If it happened too many times I'd probably open the wallet and get a stroker motor or forced induction.

There is 1 out of a 100 rice buckets that is actually nice/fast. By fast i mean it could hit 12s from a roll. But usually it looks like ****. Like that white one in the for sale section that gutted all the way and had what looked like a 45degree camber on the wheels. It was a track only car that runs 13s. hahahhaha
