Default Another mustang bites the dust!

Ok, so a few weeks ago i posted about racing a 95 cobra and spanking him pretty hard with the top down. Well today, when i was heading off base for lunch my sgt. was in front of me with his 02 black gt with slp exhaust, trick flow intake, some suspension, 315s on the back and 4.10s in the ***, anyway, i figure while he isnt making more power than me that from a slow roll or stop he would murder me, well, not so!!!! He guns it out the gate and i follow suite, now it wasent like the spanking that i gave the cobra but i reeled him in and definatly would have had him in the 1/4!! Well, we meet afterwards down the street for lunch(oh and he had a passenger) and he aint talkin **** anymore!! So we eat and i tell him on the way back ill take the passenger to try and even it out. So we come to a stop light, i turn off traction control cause i figure id rather spin alittle than bog out. i also thought from a dead stop he would eat me up. well light turns green, we both spin, but i easily jump 1 1/2 cars in front and its just a steady pull!! So overall im happy. Headers go on this weekend so then its time to move onto bigger fish!! Oh, and he just bought the car 2 weeks ago and wouldnt stop talking about handing me my ***!! I just told him he obviously didnt no anything about the old LS1 but i also told him i thought those gears would make up, so i guess i underestimated the LS1 too!!!!

Nice kill. I too thought the 4.10's would help him hang around

Nice kill, the 2v's are so slooooow. As stated before, find a mach1 and it will be a close race. ive been hunting for one for months but can never run into them

There is no real world difference to speak of when it comes to the preformance of the mach 1 and the reg gt. It has like 10hp more becasue of the cold air hood. Trust me My LS1 eats them for breakfast lunch and dinner. ask any one here they dont stand a chance unless you got some serious mods

I think you need to do a little more research.

I agree, rofl. The mach 1 will stay with the ls1 til the 1/4 mile, after that, of course the ls1 will walk it, but it's no slouch out of the hole.

Uhhhh...not true. The Mach1 4V motor is a totally different performing car than a 03/04 stock GT 2V. Mach1=LS1 performance. GT is not in the same zip code w/o some pretty good mods.

Are the supercharged cobras faster than the Mach 1? If so i ran with one door to door in my TA. The cobra had a ported and polished charger with other bolt ons and a tune and all I had was a lid throttle body intake and suspension. the cobra said he got dynoed at 495rwhp. I have never got mine tuned but i know it is only about 400rwhp.
