The 2v's can be made to run fairly quick with the right mods.

99zmaro,
Nice kill!

99zmaro,
Nice kill!
I know some quick ones but I also know how much money and mods it took to make them quick

It takes $$$$ and mods to make ANYTHING quick. Quick is relative. Remember that I'm running much smaller cubes although you'll never hear me complaining about it and I actually like being the underdog. LOL.

Good kill...but Eight lengths?....with him having H/C/G and bolt ons? Mind if I ask your mods?

Again, nice kill, I am just skeptical on the length.

I dont' doubt the kill, just the length of the gap.

I was thinking the same thing. If H/C Gt lost to a stock Z by 8 lengths somthing is wrong with the GT

I agree. Maybe the guy with the GT couldn't figure out where the gas pedal was?

he main thing wrong with it is that it was a 96, THE slowest year for the GT. Stock it's 15 second car, with a PI head swap and some cams and other bolt ons it's most likley a high 13 car. Stock Z is mid to low 13's, factor in a bad driver and I can see 5-8 car lenghts easy.

Yes..but stock it is a LOW 15 sec car..not high. SO those mods (especially gears) should easily be able to run low to mid 13s as well, which would be a couple of cars/driver's race.

Who know's?....maybe the gears and TQ made hims spin really bad? OR, the GT owner thinks head work means CAI.

Just because the GT has h/c's does mean it's a aggressive package or a good combo. 96 stock GT auto in the low 15's ...maybe with 60mph wind pushing it the last 1/8. The ford AOD is a crappy tranny..

I'd say he only did a stock pi heads and cams swap which would make it go from being really slow to just slow lol

Yeah a stock 96gt puts out like 170 rwhp. Even with h/c that thing is barely making 240 to 250
