Default SRT-4 highway encounters....Kenne Bell

Went up to Tampa Sat. to see Hermann from HP by Hermann to meet him and pick up my 2.8 KB and we ran across a older 300 zx turbo but it must have been stock because we walked away from 70-120 and put about 2 cars on it. Then we ran across ANOTHER RX-8 and well I actually left it in 5th gear at 80 and be both puched it and we crept away....was fun cause it was a little close due to not downshifting. Anyway, Hermann has the baddest blue Cobra! Great guy too if anybody needs anything near Tampa. Few pics.

Man I cant wait to get it in Mon-Wed after work. Then a little Nitrous and I can play with those crazy LS1's. Why is EVERYTHING getting so fast these days?? It will be at 22-22.5 lbs boost. What do ya think?? 4lb lower with 3-3/4 upper puts it at 22-22.5 right??? Unit, anybody.

You dont need nitrous in an SRT4 to keep up with/beat LS1s. Just go bigger turbo and fuel system and be done.

Yeah.....Hmmm....I've run across one of those and he didn't fair to well, so, ahh....yeah.

are you talking stock LS1's? Or are you talking about all LS1's? Your ******* crazy if you think by just going with a bigger turbo and fuel system, you will keep all the LS1's (modded or not) in your rear view mirror...

srt-4's i mean skittles need a lot of work to hang with an ls1 i have raced a stage 2 and spanked him and i dont have too much done to my car either!

a guy at work has a black ACR and $3000 later he runs 12.1 @121 (and he's not exactly the "Drag Driving pro" to say the least, if he could drive he'd be mid 11's I am sure), hit ormiss with the SRT4's, either slow or very fast.... Driver Mod probably being the biggest variable...

If he was indeed a bigger turo he couldnt drive or something was wrong with it. I have owned both sides and know what Im talking about. Bigger turbo/fuel management system = over 400 to the wheels in a 2900 pound car which is down right nasty. And thats the basic bigger turbo, not the more elaborate setups.

i spanked an srt4 bearly of the line with my lt1 on my previous formula. then i spanked an srt4 on the freway starting at 70 mph to 150. thats the day i blew my 4l60e (stupid *expletive* transmissions..... lol.... 3rd rebuild.) and all i had was a 2800 stall (so said the tranny guy) and a shift kit. all stock. i do know a guy that specializes on the srt's and said they have tons of potential because they are built so underpowered. myself,,, i feel good having a stock engine beating a turbo. lol.

Nice jay. Out in your females car again Eh? Funny **** when your girls car is walking stuff.

I don't think these guys are understanding your original post. lol. They think your talking about taking out built ls1's in the srt-4 neon. Which, as much as I hate to say it,...is possible with the right turbo on those bastards. A 350whp neon will walk a 380rwhp Z28 or TA.

The KB on YOUR COBRA will be nasty, no doubt. At that psi...i'd say what, 600++ rwhp? All day. Nice. Probbaly 600 to 640rwhp. But,don't quote me on that.

I used to own a srt-4 also... 13.4 at 105 w/ CAI, T/B exhaust, and a boost controller, and hard pipes. running 19psi, stock turbo. It was good enough to stay on the bumper of a C6 from 65mph to 140. ..it dyno'ed 285whp, 302wtq. I have a 2001 SS now cause i missed rear wheel drive

True...definitely a nice ride. He should've stayed turbo though IMO.

I'm sure you know that 22+psi is strictly race gas. You should be making
some really nice power 650+/650+. What fuel system are you running?
You're going to need upgraded pumps (Ford GT?) along with a BAP, upgraded
FPDM, and injectors (obviously)...unless you go return style.

You should be good for 133-134mph traps on blower if you really get it
dialed in.

Yea, my first statement was about putting nitrous on the Cobra in addition to the KB, but Ive been so busy trying to install this damn thing I was not able to get back and correct it. Thanks Jamie.

Unit, Hermann has it for sale too....

KB sent me the wrong size pulley and I am out of time and money right now so I am tuning it for 22 and be REAL easy until Hermann installs his dyno...then I can run up there and change pullies and tune. Should be a little fun. I had to install my spacer on the damn blower b/c I lost my intercooler tubes and Ford cant get them for 4 days......now my hood hits something. Its sticking up SOOO far. BAP, 62"s and FPDM mod will be ok...I hope. I was only looking for 20lbs.
