charger srt-8 forum i have no idea where to but this . (i just want to vent a little )
i was just over on the charger srt-8 forum and it seemed like 80% of the threads were saying the srt-8 HEMI is so fast and all other cars are slow . i will give credit where creditt is do they are fast but there not like a god sent or anything .
i raced one today in my 1995 formula (the guy i bought it from said it was stock ) and he did not start pulling me until about 80 then he pulled away real slow . we went from like a 20 if we would have went from a dig i thing i would have done better .
it seems like a lot of srt-8 owners think there cars are the fastest thing ever , and i just dont think there all that .what do you guys think about them ?
one more thing . how stock do you thing my car is ?
lost to a 03/04 cobra 3 cars
nose to nose with sti srt-4 bmw m3 older one
beat 96 impala ss by alot
couple others that i cat think of right now .

it's good to a point,
you would hope that someone that owns an SRT-8 likes it,
but lots of people don't know much about there cars (other than the fact that they like them)
I've personally only raced a few SRT's (neon's, ram, and Magnum)
not had trouble staying in front of any of them. the ram SRT-10 gave me the best run,
and that was early in the season (06) when I was slower

Once there are enough of them out there that are actually racing they will come across car's quicker then their own. It is inevitable.
When I first got my Z-28, I thought I had the fasted ride out there. I mean the thing felt like it was warp capable.
Dusted quite a few car's untill one day I lost. Then, the very next weekend I lost again.
So then you mod your car, cause you want to be faster, and guess what?
There's still people that are quicker.
They are very capable ride's, those srt 8's.
But they are not the last word in performance.
As far as your car being stock, pop the hood and look.
How bout the exhaust?
If it doesn't rumble your car's more then likely all original, as the first things upgraded are the air intake lid and the exhaust.

The demographic for these cars in middle aged and beyond and in many cases, including mine, it's the fastest car they have ever owned. This makes it a fast car in their eyes.
I have smoked only one f-body since gettin my car and it surprised me bigtime. I have seen ALOT of camaro *** tho... always expected when staging. I don't have a fast car but it's often fun to pretend. Pretending and telling others are two different things tho.
