buddies mustang gt vs. my ss
So I raced my buddy in his gt (2002) when I was stock and he had a cold air intake and I pulled him by about 2 cars. I raced him again after I put on SLP cold air intake, MAF, SLP manifold, and a 3000 stall and we are now almost dead even. I told him he was doing mods and not telling me but he keeps saying he hasn't done anything, he says he just learned how to drive better. mmmm...... What do you guys think?

My car is running great and I just had new tires put on so traction was definitely not a problem. He still tells me all he has is intake and I tell him he's lying but that's what he says.......

I did look under his hood, no spray. I don't know what he's done but it's pissing me off that he won't tell me. After I put my cam in he's going to have to put some more $$$ into his I guess.

the important question is, ls1 or lt1?
either way you should be pulling him. now if your a ls1 there is someting seriously wrong with your car. i mean even when he was stock and you could only manage 2 cars, that's still sad on your part. so find out what he's hideing or find out what's wrong with your car.

An Ls1 should put more than 2 cars on a stock GT.

What sort of speeds are racing from and too?
And yay LS1 or LT1?
There are plenty of sn95's that run high 12's with just bolt on's so from a dig they can be very quick, however their trap speed is usually quite low, so from a roll it shouldn't be as close.
Is your car definatly faster now with the extra mods compared to how it used to run? Do you have any figures to validate this?

LOL wow something is seriously wrong you shouldnt even be in the same league as the gt if he is telling the truth !! I dont know what some of you guys are thinking that a gear swap in a gt is going to help him keep up with a ls1 with those mods he just added !

When I was over at Stangnet there where a couple with full h/c setups and making near 300rwhp. Good ET's (mid'ish 12's) but traps where 107-108mph.
