I'll bet the MAF is contributing to some of the shitty performance on your part. The MAF has been shown time and time again to cause people to LOSE power unless its tuned for. Put ur stock MAF back on and I'll bet it helps.

I said earlier my car is def. faster with the other mods, even if the MAF is making me lose a little power, I have still increased my trap speeds around 8-10 mph. Plus I raced another buddy of mine who has a 99 z that runs 12.4 and I'm about 1 1/2 cars behind him after mods, and before mods it wasn't even close.

yes, because it's their MAF. they're not gonna tell you it's hurting you. you should be running the stock MAF. the stock MAF is fine up to 500+hp. put it back on.

anyway, for your friend, 3 words: rear mounted turbo. he definitely has a kind of FI, either that or a big H/C package. take your pick: FI or internals. he's lying.

I was thinking more along the lines of a very steep gear...Much smaller than 4.10s with weight reduction. But from the info the poster has given, this Mustang sounds like it must be trapping close to 108 +/- and even gears and weight reduction aren't going to put the Mustang in those numbers...Something else is up with the Mustang.

Pony...Elevens...were are you?

There really isn't much you can hide... if you know what you're looking at under the hood, pretty much anything would be immediately apparent. And any heads/cams combo would be noticeable. It is possible to put the nitrous line on the bottom of the air intake tube and carefully hide the solenoids/wiring, so check that next time you get the chance.

why would a heads/cam be noticable? not if he's running stock exhaust. the OP is acting like he can't detect anything else done to the car, and previously, it only had a CAI. i'm assuming this means he's still running stock exhaust. if that is the case, a H/C package may not be very noticable. or perhaps he just has his heads done. someone unfamiliar with mustangs won't know if it has heads or not. the only thing noticable in a H/C car most of the time is the cam, and if you're not running a loud exhaust, you won't know a thing.

Damn, he must have the driver mod for sure. I have told people on this board that a bolt on+ geard GT is a capable car on the street, and can beat LS1's, especially if they have gears. It doesn't take N20, or FI, cuz there are tons of 2 valves where I live that can take Fbods, but your car SHOULD beat him. My guess is he has 4.10's or 4.30's. It sounds like your car may not be running 100% tho, I would get it checked out, like I said you SHOULD be beating him.
