Default Lost to a Cummins...

Hey, so I just got my 01 WS.6 (auto, stock other than 3.73's. ) 3 weeks ago and, before tonight, i had yet to race anyone. So i was out cruising through town, looking for some GT or something to pick on. im driving along and I notice an older dodge, 90's, aup ahead. it has smoke stacks and street e/t's on it. So i decide to check him out. I get along side him and i see the number written on his window, he's been dragging it. on the quater panel it says "DIESEL PERFORMANCE". hmmmm....well we weave in and out of traffic, by this point i know he wants to go. We get out of town on the highway on a short stretch. he gets beside me and we nail it around 65-70. I had him by about a car length within a few seconds, then his turbo decided to spool up. Black smoke covering the sky, he comes around me like im standing still. RAPED me. By 110 he had about 2-3 lengths on me so i let off. We go again, same results. So needless to say, im wanting to figure this truck out. I pull in a gas station and he follows. We chat for awhile, he was on his way back from the track, where he runs mid 11's. After knowing that, i didnt feel so bad that my basically stock baby didnt keep up. Nice guy. Told me my car was very clean and very quick for what was done to it. And we parted ways. so thats my story. first race in my car and i loose...to a truck.
let the modding begin!!

doubt an 11 second truck is going to only put 2-3 lengths on a a4 from a roll

nice death though. are there even alot of 11second trucks out there to begin with?

My neighbor has a 2004 quad cab 4x4 diesel with twin turbos that makes 620rwhp and 1180rwtq with out the nitrous. He says it's fast up to about 110, but it's just to scary after that.

Yeah, this was just what the guy said. He didnt spray his 200 shot of nitrous though, which helps him get his said 11's. But i dont know. It was no more than 3 lengths. not bad at all. But obviously with the nitrous he would have been way way further ahead.

Depends on what the truck traps, its a big friking brick, and I imagine he cuts a nice 60' in it...

Yeah not to mention diesels redline real low so top end it isn't 11 second [i]car[/] top end.

Nice death though, I raced an 90's F-150 diesel with smokestacks but it wasn't fast enough to beat my car.

Nice death, don't feel too bad, they are equal opportunity eqo deflaters.
Their aero sucks, but they can churn enough torque to say a big "F YOU" to the air for a while.

A diesel pushing over 700hp is no laughing matter if your racing through the 1/4.
One put in 4WD from a launch will have your *** puckered that's for certain.

Not a cummins, but shows the general idea of hot rod diesel
http://www.dieselperformancemotorspo...906-1052lg.wmv
but you visually can't fathom that big of a truck going that fast, so it seems so slow haha.

Nice death, there are a couple of guys around here with late 90's Cummins Rams that could take out stock/lightly modded LS1's pretty easily. It sucks being surprised like that, I was smoked in my Lightning once by a F-250.

Keep rolling your eyes moron, it was a mistake. I don't know anything about the trucks...it just looks like the F-150's you know?

That guy had some money in his Cummins to put it in the 11s. Very nice death.
