My Formula vs. Bike
Last night on my way home from a meet, Im doing about 75 down 610 torwards 45. I see this bike coming up on me fast, think nothing of it, and just let him go on by. Well as soon as he gets by he pulls right in front of me, slows down, and turns around to look at me. Im thinking "WTF? Does this guy think he knows me? Is he gonna BUSSACAP on my ***?!"
He ends up pulling to the drivers side of my car, downshifting, then hammers it. I KNOW he isnt trying to race MY car. He slows back down and looks over at me. Well, just for the hell of it I downshift into 3rd going about 65 and give him 3 honks and we both go.
He nails it. I nail it. This guy doesnt go past me until about 90. Where even then he didnt pull a car on me all the way to 125-130. We raced 2-3 more times all with the same result. I rolled my windows down to give him a thumbs up/ask him what bike it was, but he exited VERY quickly to the right.
WTF? He seemed to know how to drive as he was wrapping every gear up with quick shifts, tucking down on the bike, never hitting the rev-limiter, and keeping it WOT the whole time. I know it had an aftermarket exhaust.
My mods are Longtubes, Catted-Y, Cutout on the I (open), LS6 intake, and a S3 TB. No pulley and untuned. Weighed in at 3600lbs. on the nose.
I thought bikes were faster than that?

Who knows man...Bikes are like computers you have to get the newest one to be fast. Your new 600's will beat old 750's and hang with some old 1000's. You honestly probably ran into a older 600. It takes about 500rwhp to stay with a 2004+ 600. Plus alot has to do with rider ability and his weight.

Uh they dont make a "newer" 450/500 size sportbike...
If it had dual exhaust it might of have been a V-twin bike. The only current bike on the market with dual exhause that is new is the gixxer 1000 and it would of have walked you had it been that one.
Unless you can get more info or find a pic on the web there is no way to tell what you ran.

I remember seeing a video of Blades just ripping a CBR to shreds.
I couldn't believe it when we raced. I thought I had a factory freak on my hands...

You might be surprised how do against even a newer 600.
I wish when car/bike races happened we could find out the actual bike, but not everyone is into both sports.
I have my Formula and a 2005 ZX10r sitting in the garage that is right at 160rwhp right now. Life is fun anytime I am on the stret.

Keep in mind there are also people who go out and run 14 second quarter mile passes in a LS1 car.
Don't worry, the VAST majority of bikes are WAY faster than your car. Please don't think you can outrun streetbikes now.

I just was surprised by the results and wanted to see what other peoples insights were on this matter.
Thanks for your input.
