Anyone have any info on the non-turbo Supras witht he 2jz? One of my buddys bought one and we cant really find anything like stock quarter times. I know it was rated at 220 horse and it weighs around 3300 but that is all i could find. How do these compare to Lt1s or Ls1s? Sorry to have another question thread, but i didnt know where to put it.

A supra with the 2JZ-GE motor will get smoked bad by an LT1 or LS1 F-body.......hell, the last f-body I would even call a close race would be a 3rd Gen with a TPI motor

Try a Supra forum.

But what the above guy said. Think about it. 220HP 3300LBS. Thats a worse power to weight than an old stock 5.0. By a lot. Do LS1s worry about those?

Interesting, I didn't know the N/A motors were still 2JZ's. Is it just the same motor with no turbos and higher compression?

More or less AFAIK. Kinda like NT blocks for 1G DSMs. Pretty much the same thing.

Dunno if the turbos have oil squirters versus the NAs. In my expirience it does not matter, especially with forged pistons, which I would hope any NT to turbo swap would do in the first place.

I'll bet the rods are different too.

Gotcha, so basically putting a turbo on an N/A one would be as useless as a 420a

My stock 95gsr, use to pull my friends n/a supra, all the time. They are mid 15sec cars. Very slow, I would say,

Supras and Skyline are Ricer heirarchy/gods, most ricers just don't know **** about cars. They get next to a muscle car and hear a loud cam lope and think the car is breaking down.
