Talking New Brakes!!

Yea that is my cell phone. These are far bigger than Im used to.

Got my Online Rotors stuff today from 6litereater.com and all I can say is wow. I cant wait to get this on later this week. Crappy weather isnt going to help for the next two days. Huge thanks to Dave (fast01z28) for helping me with the hook up.

Well got the D/S rotors on and dear god. Talk about an insane headache. The driver side rear was stuck on thanks to the parking brake design from GM. Took about 30 minutes to get it off after finally taking a huge hammer to it. Then got to the passenger front. GEEZ. The top slide pin was FROZEN in place. I took it apart maybe 5 different times before we finally were like, "dude is the slider pin froze??" After about 45 minutes of getting it done, the brakes were finally done.

Yea sure did. The C5 conversion is way too much cash for what you get in return in my mind.

Check out the first post to see who I got them from.

i peiced my C5 kit together and got it for not that much with the EBC dimple and slotted rotors. however it did require 17" rims to go with it those rotors look sharp as hell man! gonna be a nice addition

Yea thats another reason why I didnt do the C5 kit. Ive only got the stocker 16" twistys on there.

They look damn good and stop pretty good too. Still getting a TINY bit of a squeak from one of the rear rotors but it was getting pretty quiet by the time I got home.

you shouldnt need to clean it all, the rotors are plated, so any manufacturing residue would already be gone.

glad to hear that work well. i still havnt gotten my front rotors on yet. my setup feels better already though.

I think he meant residue from his greasy hands.... not from manufacturing.
