Default Wheel Hopping

I have a 96 T/A with a built 383 and a lot of suspension work I have the LCA and adjustable torque arm the car is lowered. I get a very nasty wheel hop out of the hole.. Do you think the relocation brackets for the LCA's will help with this problem?? I do have the QA1's on the rear not on the front..Someone told me I should put V6 springs on the front as well....HELP

Best bet is to install some relocation brackets to see if it may solve your problem.

Thumbs up Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets

Hello
Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets were designed to eliminate wheel hop and increase your traction and performance! We have found using the lowest setting on the brackets you get the best traction performance. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

It worked for me, I welded mine on, took a test drive, wheel hop was 100% gone.

Not to thread hijack, but is there any negative effects of using the lowest setting? Why not just use the lowest bolt hole in the first place?

Because you can have too much of a "good thing". Might bog the car. And running the LCA's tail down from level makes for roll oversteer on the stability side....

I am going to take the car to the track this weekend and I will let you know how it does thanks for all your help.. What do you think about putting the V6 springs on the front? Or is there another option?

Hello, using the lowest bolt hole works great for the drag strip but leaves a lot to be desired for handling. Like sam stated it makes the car oversteer more.

So then what would be the best hole for a dd car? or will not putting relocation brackets be best?

Best thing to do would be try both and see how you like it. Everyones car is different so the hole that works for Joe might not work for Dale. That is if you already have them. All in all if you are having launch or wheel hop issues the relocation brackets will defiantly help a drag car. But like Sam said on a handling based car you might get a negative effect with the tail end of the control arms down too far.

Mine are not installed yet, but this is my plan: When I am going out for a serious evening of scorching the earth, move them to the bottom hole for traction. Otherwise, move them back up for improved handling. Best of both worlds, IMHO.
