Default Why is my car so lifted, new k-member?

So my car has stock springs and shocks with about 50k on them. Now its always looked high to me but ive never gotten around to lowering it due to alot of drag racing.

So i installed a bmr turbo k-member with pa racing uppers and lowers. I havent done an alignment yet and its all messed up right now but the car in the front looks like it has not motor.

Ill post some pics but its really bad,its like the car was lifted 2 inches.

Have you driven the car since the k-member install? I know on mine (still stock k-member/springs/shocks) after I jack it up it sits high, but after a short drive the suspension settles and it's back to normal. Just my .02

I'm about to order a UMI K-member soon so I hope it's just that the suspension needs to settle some. I don't want it sittin higher than it does now.

mine looks the same.... but i've got a good bit of weight reduction on the front....

I plan on getting some qa1 adjustables and lowering the front with that.

Those pics were taken after 100 miles of driving. I think the suspension has had time to settle. Im sure its not weight reduction. Even though the kmember and stuff is lighter,i add a really heavy turbo setup up front.

I just dont get it.

Did you tighten the front suspesion bolts while the car was in the air? If so youll want to jack the car up and put the jack stands under the control arms then loosen and retighten the front control arms. Suspension coponents are always to be tightend under load.

I would also agree about tightening the A-arms at ride height versus hanging.....

The GM Service Manual even states that the control arms should be tightened at ride height.
