you can center the rear axle, side to side, under the car.

The purpose of the adjustable panhard bar is to recenter the rearend when you lower your car. We offer several different style of the adjustable bars. Here are a couple pics. If you have any questions please give me a call.

Hello
I noticed that you are asking about is it a good idea to get an adjustable pan hard bar! It will be necessary to have one if you are planning on lowering a vehicle. Due to when you lower a vehicle the rear end shifts and the adjustment on the bar will allow you to recenter the rear end! Below is a link to show you what UMI Performance has to offer!

http://umiperformance.com/products.php?category_id=93

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help!
Thanks
Brad

Has anyone installed the relocation kit for the panhard, i currently have 3" dual exh that dumps at the axle and i am interested in taking it over the axle, has anyone done this using the relocation kit ?

Adj is the way to go.

If you ever get larger tires or lower the car it's a must.

my car wasn't lowered when I put the 315's on and I need to move the axle from side to side.

Its a good idea to get one that can be adj.

Most fbodies are off center from the factory. Mine was off by 13/16", stock wheels, stock ride height. I checked my friend's TransAm the other day, bone stock, it is off center. So if someone tells you that you only need an adjustable if your car is modded, question that statement. Measure your car, it is easy to do. And why not spend a bit more for the adjustable, anyway. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
On car adjustable are easier to use, but I seldom change mine, so I went with the "Off car" adjustable. Basically, I have to drop one end of the bar, adjust it, and put it back in place. Not a big deal to me, but it may be to you.

I noticed after installing my lca brackets my wheels weren't centered. Their about 3/4 of a inch to the left. Will it hurt anything having the wheels off like that?

Agreed. It makes life a lot easier.

The axle could very well be off from the factory. I never measured before I put the 315's on. When they went on it looked like the RH tire was 2 inches inside the body. Thats when the adj (on car) became worth it's weight.

Hello
Yeah that is not a good sign! That is a bad case of suspension bind. Did you tighten everything up while it was in the air? If so! Just put the car back up in the air and loosen everything up a little and then allow the suspension to load back up by putting it on ramps or blocks. And then tighten everything down.
Hope that helped.
Thanks
Brad

Basically use the plumb bob method. Go to BMRs installation instructions page: http://www.bmrfabrication.com/instructions.htm and select one of the panhard bars, such as #6. The have pictures of someone making the measurement.
AFA suspension bind, unless you knew the measurement b/f the install, you have no baseline. Not trying to argue, but I maintain that it was probably off already, you were just unaware.
