I have a 96 WS6 LT1 6spd car with all the bolt-ons (stock heads / stock cam). The car is fully suspended with every imaginable suspension I can think to put on it I also run coil-overs at all four corners; although, the springs are probably too light in lb rating for any serious autocross/road racing. There is alot more little stuff in the suspension dept that I have done, just too much to type right now. I actually replaced every single bolt / nut on the suspension with ( gold / cad zinc grade 8.8 (& other) hardware ) I'm not sure what you mean by fast ( Road race / Autocross / Drag race ) If your wondering the latter, drag racing the time is in the SIG. Car is probably a couple tenths faster than the time posted. I did not have near as much suspension adjustment when I ran the 12.61 @ 109. I believe the car is good for a 12.30/40 ish @ 110 plus My best answer for the handling department is this simple statement (" Never been in another LT1 that handled as good as this car, but that may not be saying much )

A few pics:

Wilwood 6 piston 13" front, and 4 piston 12.2" rear

Here is a pic of the stance from the nose back:

Really appreciate the compliments. You did not mention what times you wanted ( Road race / Autocross / Drag race ) ?

Well... I guess I can chime in on this one. I am basically stock. The following are my mods (stock 3.23 auto):

Suspension:

UMI LCAs
UMI Relocation Brackets
Hotchkis Non-Adjustable Panhard
SLP Strut Tower Brace
Hotchkis Weld-In Subframes

Other:

K&N CAI
2800 SLP Stall Converter
GMMG Exhaust (No Cats - Stock Manifolds)
Air Foil

I ran a 13.59 @ 99.52 a couple of weeks ago with a 1.94 60'. Air temperature was pretty cold, but I think that accounts for my 60' not being lower than it was. Hopefully this helps. Tonight I am going to throw on my LT4 knock module, and I have a 3.73 waiting to be installed.

If you want to get the most out of the suspension stuff right away, do the TQ-arm (adjustable) BMR, tranny mount BMR, poly tranny bushing ENERGY, adjustable shocks and a good set of ET streets, or BFG Drag radials and go for it ! All of the other stuff on my car has less to do with drag racing times and more to do with corner carving I have never actually been able to utilize the current suspension setup, ET's in the sig were almost 7 years past. I suspect with my current suspension setup I could chop my way down the the 1.6's from my 1.89 60ft in my SIG at the bottom. Just taking 2 or 3 tenths from my 60ft would be huge on the big end. Conservatively, I would guess my 12.61 @ 109 would go into the 12.30 ish range at close to 111 mph ?? ( These are certainly guess-timations, but I bet it's very close to those numbers ) Now hurry up and buy some suspension parts, so we can see what your beast runs
