1le swaybar's....places to buy?
Well I'm looking for the front and rear 1le swaybars. I would love to have some stranobars but I just can't afford them with trying to save for a house. So for now I would love to be able to find out where to buy front and rear 1le's for my 01. Thanks in advance guys!

classifieds. i picked up a 1le rear bar for $75 locally. just sent payment for a set of 35/21 bars off of a bilstein ultra car for a friend recently also. $120 shipped.
what i would recommend is just buying a solid 35mm front bar from UMI, then calling around to some scrapyards to find a 21mm rear bar off of a 3rd gen (rear suspension is all interchangeable). not sure which models had them but it was a much more common size on them than 4th gens. plus i'm sure they wouldn't charge you much if you find one.

Hello
I noticed that you are looking into upgrading your front and rear sway bar. And like mentioned above I figured I would throw this out there for you that UMI Performance offers a solid 35mm front and a 21mm rear and they both feature energy suspension poly mounting bushings and end links.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

STOP!!!!
You don't WANT A "1LE" rear bar (21mm) with the 32mm front, it's too rear biased. This is why I hate the internet sometimes. ONLY ONE YEAR CAR GOT 32/21 FROM GM, THAT WAS 1993 AND BECAUSE THEY USED STOCK REAR SPRINGS, SO THE 21MM COMPENSATED FOR THAT TO BALANCE THE BIGGER FRONT *AND* STIFFER 1LE FRONT SPRINGS!
SS's, and WS6's have 32/19 stock, all V-8's have 19's stock in the rear. If you just get a 32mm front bar you have "1LE" spec bars circa 1994-1999 of which the vast majority of the car were. What's more is I think it's a better balance, and the Strano bars are balance much more like a 32/19 than a 32/21 combo..... Mind you about 30% stiffer...

i never planned on running the 32/21 setup. plan was to rock the 32mm 1le with stock rear then when more funds become available to switch to the strano front 35mm and toss in the rear 1le 21mm my car was setup for drag but im setting it back up to be more versatile. it runs 1.41 60's with just lca's and sfc's now but i don't plan to drag it much in the future. i have some low mile kyb agx struts and lt1 pro kit springs ima toss on it and try and find a 32mm front sway for now to see how she handles. i had the agx's/pro kit on a my old lt1 camaro and i loved how it handled and was easily able to due decent in the 1320 with those struts

Well, a "1LE" bar the way it's commonly known is actually a solid 21, not 22...fwiw.
Find a balled up SS or WS6, they all had 32's on them stock. Run it with the 19mm rear, save the money buying the 21 1LE. When you get the money, up them both to mine. My rear will save you about 7 pounds vs the GM 21mm, and the front will add only a few... and the balance won't try and kill you.
You can run my front and a 21mm rear... it's balanced--but heavier then it needs to be, that weight is all unsprung weight, and a GM bar won't come with all new hardware either.

And now you have 1994-1999 1LE spec bars, front and rear.
I'm sure I'll be here when you are ready for Strano bars and the about 30% more roll stiffness that come with 'em----and you're welcome!

I'll stand up and proclaim...Sam knows what he's talking about
I used the WS6/1LE suspension for years, thinking it was great. When I finally bit the bullet and upgraded, it was a major improvement in all areas. Probably the single biggest upgrade I made to the enjoyment of the car were suspension related. Once I finish my brake upgrade and TA replacement, the car will be able to handle with the best of them!
Good Luck!
