What are some goals of the car? 6 speed? Automatic? Daily driver? Race car? That might help some of use help ya more..
QA1s, Strange..is what I would say..Afcos but you dont want to spend $$..
If you dont want to spend the money then Id just blow it on something else..you want good shocks..be ready to pay!

you need to do some thinking. what do you mean when you say you want something "better" than a KYB or HD? better at launching or better ride quality?
if you're looking for a drag shock and can't afford a QA1/Strange/Afco set your next best bet is a set of worn out stock shocks. they transfer weight quite well as they're not great at damping to begin with.

Well its 80% street with a few times at the track. My bud says Qa1s but since I've never had perf rear shocks I'm not sure of the benifits. I got my front bilst shocks with the ebock springs. So Yeah I've been thinking about paring them up with the rear but all I see are HD bilst shocks? I thought there was a street version.
I going to do some more head work on my LS3s so I don't want to go too crazy on the shocks. I wish I could do coil overs Qa1s but a little too much.
I'm still looking. I'll spend tops 300 not more. thanks

Real, thanks I think...I've spent my coin on what I can. I am working my way towards the back. I do have z06 brakes too, still need to get a 12bolt.
Bottom line, when I read the write up on the shocks they talk about SUVs and towing. So yeah I thought it might not be for me...
Not to sound cheap but those Edelbrock street shocks do sound nice. I'd still be fine with the bilst shocks for the street. I do have the pro kit eibach.

haha i understand. bilsteins will improve ride quality over stock shocks. again though, for drag you want good weight transfer, and a set of worn out stock shocks will probably do that better.
do you have lca's/brackets/torque arm etc already?

Yeah got, sway bars, LCAs, Panhard adj, relocation brackets, eiback springs and UMI adj TQ arm. So all thats left is the damn shocks.
NOTE I do have stock springs and I could use the OEM shocks for some passes. For the street I'd like something better than the OEM old shocks.
I WILL say I cut a 1.8 60ft with DRs and still spining. The nose came right up, it was great.
