What springs do I have??
2001 Camaro SS, it has the Bilstein shocks, 1LE LCA bushings, and purpleish springs. I was told this car is completely stock when I bought it. Bought in with 12,000 miles this past Jan.
thanks

I was reading some SS's came with Bilstiens from SLP as a factory installed option.
It does seem to sit lower than other SS's. Ground to fender lip is between 26 1/2"-27 1/2" on all four corners.
I looked at that thread^^^, they are not the same color as the Vogtlands, I couldn't find a posted pic of the Intrax's.

The SLP optioned cars that came with Bilstien suspension also came with Eibach springs. My car has this set-up and sits lower then any stock stance Z I have ever seen. I believe my springs are bluish/purple. Hard to see after 100k of road grime and never took the time to clean them.

This was an added cost on top of the SS package price. There is an added options sticker in the passenger door jamb if you got "extra" options. I will say the Bilstien/eibach set-up rides 10x better then stock/decarbon set-up.

See attached for suspension option packages. It is my understanding that neither SLP suspension option lowered the car. You'd have to check with SLP to be sure, but I don't think SLP used Eibach springs.

I have Koni's on my car, there is a reason for that. Bilstein's are a good next choice, but they are not the absolute best shocks for control, or controlling a lowering springs of any serious performance potential.
Bilstein's are not designed for springs like mine, or most others. They were built with SLP Eibach's in mine which are softer and taller, and the shocks were meant to ride well first, handle well second with those springs. Are Koni's better? Yes, they are also $350+ a set more.
I won't jerk you chains, that's not my bag. If you can afford Koni's, get Koni's that's my opinion.
And here's a tidbit that folks seem to ignore. The car has no clue where/how it's being driven. Shocks damp mass and spring rate, they have to do that on the street as much as on a race track. Do racers want better control and tend to use better shocks? Yes, but that doesn't preclude you from wanting good performance either, does it? I mean if you don't drag race, don't you still want more power? Folks want better brakes even if they don't road-race, right? I'm not sure why that stops when talking about suspension? BMW M3's for instance, handle really well stock, most folks who buy them don't race either.

I have a 01 Z-28 that the previose owner put on the SLP Eibach springs and Bilstein shock package that lowers the car 1.2"
I could care less about cornering and just want to set this car up for the 1/4 drag track, and DD to work of coarse
Can somebody recommend some better springs that will give me a better launch at the drag strip?
The front springs have #74076 on them and the rears say #80683 which I assume are Eibach #'s
BUT Eibach's website doesn't even have a search box so I can't figure out how to look them up to find the spring rates
What springs and what rates do you recommend to improve my short time?
Thanks in Advance, Zach

Have set of hotchkis lowering springs with maybe 5000 miles on them.
200 shipped to your door, 180 local pick up in regina.1 inch drop. Great ride, handling, get rid of fugly fender gaps.
Have also set of slp eibach firehawk springs 3/4 to 1 inch drop. These have maybe 7000 miles on them. Also same advantages as the hotchkis. Great ride, great handling nicer appearance. Also 200 bucks shipped , 180 local pick up.
Canada shipping only. I take paypal.
