I will slam my ss.. What spring rates with GC coil overs?
On my 01 z I just sold I had 550/175 I think. The rears felt good but the fronts seemed to still allow too much travel on bigger bumps.
What I'm really asking is should I be going extremely stiff? I will lower my next car (ss I hope)pretty low to reduce the fender gap as much as posible to help make the 20s look more at home. Should I go 600/175? 650/200? ill probably ask gc tomorrow.
Any thoughts are appreciated !

Ive got 625's up front(w/ 275/35/18's), an Airbags rear w/55psi.
FIY, 650's will be noticeably stiffer, but not extremely stiff, but it might seem extremely stiff with the 20's.
IMO, 625's are plenty stiff don't go higher with the 20's, and also do the UMM.
Stick with the 175's(rear) if your happy with them.
Go with at least the 600's.

Very cool thanks for the input. I will have 19s in front and 20s rear. I just want it stiff so I can have a small gap and try to maintain it over rough roads so that the front shocks aren't bottoming as hard (if they do) and the rears won't get me contact with the fenders ( rears are 10inch wide nothing drastic). I was ok with the 175 rear I think I'll go 625 fronts.
I can't recall but I heard groundcontrol eibachs are somewhat of a progressive spring? Does anyone make linear ones or can I option for that with them?
Also if anyone knows a deale for gc with a good price let me know . Ws6 store doesn't carry them anymore Sucks cuz ws6 store has been good to me.

MY GC/Eibach springs are linear. I think they come with a 10inch tall spring (of course you pick your own spring rate). You may want to call and see if they can get you a shorter spring. I run 550 up front - 10 inches tall and there is actually not that much thread to go really low. My car has a little less than 2 fingers of gap up front and the threads are almost bottomed out. Again this is with a 550 lb spring, so a 625 for example would likely sit a little higher because of the stiffer rate.

I used SLP bilsteins. I can go lower, but it won't be slammed. Theres probably enough thread to go to no gap between the tire and fender lip but that's about it. If you wanna tuck tire up front you may want to look into a shorter spring... Of course the rear your gonna have problems with riding on the bump stops, i'm sure your quite aware of this however.

Do the upper mount mod in front for more travel. In the rear remove the factory bumpstops and use some Koni bumpstops on the shocks, again more travel and better ride. You are going to use Koni shocks right? The 625 front springs and 175 rear should be good.
