why would you want to? If you are building a serious drag machine just backhalf the car and go 4-link. If not stick with the torque arm.

asking for a friend who has a lt1 car and wants to do it on the cheap without a torque arm and expensive qa1's and/or other susp parts. he was looking into Competition Engineering C2006 Ladder Bar 33in Black, $220 and with labor and other parts since hed do it himself would be about 300 bux

If you go with a real ladder bar setup it will run to where the back seat is. The fab guy will cut a hole there and box it in. I didn't want to go this route so I'm going with a mini 19" ladder bar setup on my car. I'll post pics when I get the car back.

what ya mean a mini bar ? the way my car is i cant run a tunnel mnt trq arm as i have 3in duals and my x-pipe is where the mnt would be . i dont see any traction advantage with a long arm setup with a relocate and so on . the link the other guy posted has me interested as well but im wonderin how the lower cntrl arms will take the added stress before i go and do it and wreck my car lol

we have a tunnel mounted version torque arm/crossmember assy that is designed around true dual exhaust, specifically the TSP. no clearance issues and includes a driveshaft loop. call the shop for more info or to order.

the mini-laddar bar they're talking about is where you put a bracket on top of the LCA's and on the rear and put a small control arm from bracket to bracket. i'm going to be doing the same thing soon with my 8.8. search "8.8 build" and that thread has some great pictures to go by.

FWIW, if i wasn't having to ditch the torque arm with my 8.8, i'd definately give eric at MWC a call. great guy and great parts.
