Strano springs: roll rear fender lip??

Strano springs: roll rear fender lip?? Ok, so Im piecing together my new suspension, and I was wondering if anyone had to roll their rear fender lips to avoid tire cuts when running the 1.2" drop springs by Strano?
Im running some extensive rear mods, like the Dana 60 and such, but Im wondering if anyone running 295/30ZR18's on chromed Z06 rims had any issues with the fender lips rubbing?
If you did roll your lips, how did you do it without cracking the paint? How far did you roll it up? At a 45 degree angle? More?

I never even waited to find out...when I put 295s on my car, I rolled the fenders as soon as I could. I rented a fender roller and went to town...I'm not even sure how far I ended up rolling them in, and the paint in there ended up cracking. It probably would have helped if I had heated the paint with a heat gun first, but I was impatient, and was rolling them in the parking lot of the apartment complex I lived in at the time.

It depends on how fast you like to take turns...if you take turns like I tend to do (which is like a total ***), you'll likely end up with problems. I was lowered about 1.5" in the back at that time, and I distinctly remember going around a 90* turn at a pretty good clip and hearing some awful sounds back there as the tire touched the fender. That's what prompted me to rent the roller and get it done as soon as I could. I still had the stock rims/tires, so I put those back on until I got it done.

My goal is to take corners at double the posted limit. 
So looks like Ill have to find a fender roller... LOL

+1 for the heat gun to save your paint. Look up "69TA" on the site here - he used to rent a heat gun with a fender roller for a very reasonable price. I rolled mine nearly vertical where I could and no problems with 315s.

This is good to know as I've been contemplating doing this or not. I plan on getting 19" CCW wheels soon with the strano springs/konis and was wondering if I needed to roll my fenders.

If you've been running 295 width tires on stock springs, I'm going to say you don't need to change anything with strano springs. Your bumpstops define your full suspension travel limit. If those stay the same then you'll probably not have much difference in tire clearance.

I've got stranos with 295/35-18 KDW2's which are pretty wide for a 295 and I didn't roll the fender. No problems at all. No cuts or anything. Although, I don't drive spirited around corners or anything. If I get spirited, its a straight line punch, so I've never tested to see if they'd rub when turning corners real sharp. I can tell you though that taking off ramps at 60 they haven't rubbed yet.

From my research on this, I would go ahead and roll the fender lips prior to getting everything installed to see how it pans out. Is there a chance its overkill, yes, but it's cheaper than finding out after the fact that you should've rolled them.
You may ask, "how did I come to this conclusion"? Well, I went with Nitto 305/35/18 555R's on stock springs and figured out I need to roll the fender lips after cutting up a couple $300 tires. Would've been so much easier to just roll the lips before cutting up the tires. That's a case where "trial and error" was leaning more towards "error and then pay to fix it".
