Default replacing shocks/struts

i'm going to be replacing my rear shocks in the next month or two,,,my front struts are probably fine but may get new ones later this year. looking for some feedback on your experiences and whats good and bad out there,,,my WS6 is just an occasional/weekend cruiser, i'm not needing super high performance stuff, i may jam on it on occasion but i'd like to keep the cost reasonable. thanks.

KYB's aren't bad for the price but the ride is a little rough, even with the AGX4's. If you want a nice ride and superb handling, go with Koni's. Koni's were on sale a few weeks ago at tirerack.com, they may still be on sale.

Sky Jacker air shocks

My car's rear end rides like *** holes, but it's nice being able to raise the rear end 2 feet off the ground.

Are you looking to lower? If not, I'd just go with SLP Bilsteins, sound like it's exactly what you want (greater handling, higher comfort, low'ish price). If lowering is in your future, I'd go with Koni's.

BTW, the Koni sale price isn't just at tirerack, www.stranoparts.com has it too, and I'd definitely recommend buying from Strano for his customer service. He also has the Bilsteins at low price too.

Bilsteins are the only shock worth having if you don't go Koni...

he probably already has Bilstiens, they come on the car. Konis just seem to ride alot smoother and adapt well to different road/speed conditions. I have ran Bilstiens, KYB's, QA1's and Konis, Konis were by far the best ride and are still on my car now.

Unless he has an SLP spec car with the SLP options (exhaust, lid, shocks, etcl) he would just have WS6-spec DeCarbons.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm quite sure not all WS6's had Bilsteins.

thanks again to all. i did it sooner than i thought. i decided to go with KYBs for the rear shocks,,,the service writer/tech did say that it was Bilsteins that were on there. i'm happy with the results,,all the rear squeaks seem to be gone, they were bad, and so far i'm happy with the ride.

i forgot to add,,,i'm sure i got ripped off on the shop's marked up price for the KYBs (would have been nice to have internet service there to do a little research on prices),,,when i have future service for the front struts, i'll do some research and then go talk to the shop about an estimate and see what they can do.
