Default J&M 3-Point Subframe Connectors, Double Diamond Style (1993-2002 F-BODY) ARE BACK!!!

This is the first thing that should be done on uni-body vehicles, even if you do not plan to increase the performance of the engine, is the installation of subframe connectors! Connectors assist in maintaining the integrity of the vehicle. Take a close look at any unibody car that has been run hard. The doors don't close quite right, T-tops don’t line up and the alignment shop has trouble getting the car to drive straight. If you want your car to remain rattle free and you want to get the most out of other chassis and engine mods, you have to connect the front and rear frame sections with something stronger than sheet metal. Sub-frame connectors are an absolute requirement for all types of driving.

• A necessity for any performance minded builder.
• Stops power robbing chassis flex.
• Improves responsiveness & control.
• Shaped to hug the floor pan of your vehicle for maximum ground clearance.
• Doubles as a Jacking Rail.
• Powder-coated to prevent corrosion.
• Available for hardtop.
• Weld-in only design is far superior and stronger than bolt-in styles.

fits: 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 Chevrolet Chevy Camaro Firebird

X2. I'm also not interested in a weld-in design. I'll go with a bolt-in, and if I want to keep them, I have the option to weld them.

So my question is how do these measure-up with the UMI 3-point SFCs? Anyone had both or can point out the benefits of one or the other?

One thing that bites is the J&M ones don't fit convertibles...

I remember a similar design a while back, Kenny Brown Double Diamond SFC.
Always wondered how the 5-point compares to the 3-point design.

When installing these (or any SFCs for that matter) isn't it suggested that the car be on a drive up style lift? (So that there is weight on the suspension?)

When welding you always want the suspension to be fully loaded and level. If you are doing a bolt on style you can install them loose then tighten the bolts with the suspension loaded.

I hope that helps,
Ryan
