Default Which mod next?

Ok guys, I'm trying to decide which mod I want to do next. I am debating between QA1 double adjustable shocks with 300lb springs, tubular upper and lower a-arms, racing seats, 6pt roll bar, or drag sway bar. They are all around the same price range so I figured I would do one mod now then possibly around Jan/Feb I will do another. Which one would you go with first?

Hey outlaw. Tell us some more about your car and your application. I'm thinking strip/street?

In my unqualified opinion, you would notice the most difference in shocks/springs first, maybe seats if yours were shitty lol, but thats really just weight reduction.

I don't know how much upper/lower A arms help, and I wouldn't put a cage in my car unless I had to, but a rear sway bar is definitely pretty high on my list next to LCA's and SFCs.

Also, sending you a PM.

Out of the option you have given us I would personally do the springs and shocks or the anti-roll bar, but I would really need more information to help you out. How much power does the car make? What is the fastest time a the dragstrip? What was your best 60ft? What suspension and chassis mods do you currently have? What is the primary purpose of the car (daily driving, drag racing, fun weekend car)? Answering these questions will really help us help you out.

Actually, outlaw, in order to make a correct recommendation I'd need to clear my head by driving your Racetech...

As of right now I have subframe connectors, torque arm, LCA's and relocation brackets, panhard bar, comp eng 3 way shocks in the rear with stock springs, 3.73 gears, 2800 stall. That's really it right now, I plan on trying to rebuild the engine next year and looking for around 450 hp. I have just gotten a little s10 so it will be my dd soon and the Z will become more of a street/strip car driven on nice days. I do an occasional autox about 5 times a year but other than that its more of a drag car which is my main goal. The only reason i have started autox is because i recently joined a car club at school and thats the main thing they do.

Hey outlaw. That clears things up a bit, thanks for posting the specs.

Since you already have rear shocks, I vote for a UMI drag bar. Purchased from our sale, starting tomorrow...

Keep in mind the drag bar will make your car rotate REALLY well on the Auto-x course. Do you have a 22mm rear bar yet?

Right now with drag radials the best time is 9.01 in an 1/8th and the quickest 60' is 2.03. The only tracks that are close by are 1/8th mile unless i go more than a couple hours away. With that pass even though it was the fastest so far I forgot to let some air out of the tires so there was around 40 psi in the tires which probably hurt me a good bit and also the track around here is crap so i was not even able to get up on the convertor at all with out spinning on the starting line.

No i do not have any sway bars yet, they are stock as of right now. When looking at the sway bar i was trying to decide what would be better between your drag bar and the one on wolfe racecrafts site.

40psi is crazy high for DR's lol.

FWIW, my 95 M6 intake/full exhaust car ran 8.80's @ 83ish on original clutch and bald sumitomos with a 2.2 60' lol.

The main reason they had so much is because it was a daily driver and i wasn't to sure about running low pressure around town and on the highway
