Default What should this cost me.

I pulled my front lower a-arm and want to have a shop press all the bushings and ball joints out and put my new ones in. I'm bringing my own parts.

its shouldnt be too much since they probably have a machine that does it.. i did mine in my garage with simple tools, of course it took me hours to do with alot of cussing and throwing stuff.. i would say 50 at the most

Hey heavymetal

Is your shop "hot rodder" friendly? If so, I'd agree with bandit. Shops need to make a living and charge fairly for their time but should still treat you right and not give you some bogus $200 charge...

Yeah, it's a young guy that I kinda know since he opened up shop bout 2 years ago. He does dirt track racing. I'll give him $100.00 well that's what I'll offer. Sound fair.

Lol I don't feel like doing that, I'd rather hand over $100.00 bill

It will be something like $20 per bushing (press out old, press in new).

OMG dude, yeah.. Not having a press is a PITFA!!! I had to do upper and lower ball joints on my F150 without a press and holy ***.. Two hours of beating the **** outta ONE to get the damn thing out! Thank GOD I have access to one at work now!!!

And OP; Most NAPAs have a machine shop that can press stuff in/out for ya. I think it ran me $30 to do my OTHER side of the ball joints on my F150.
