Default who makes a decent line lock ?

up for any suggestions i feel i could make one of these myself with a flare tool and just buy the solenoid or would it be chaeper to buy a pre fabed one

SLP makes one, but I have'nt heard anything bad about it.

I have the summit brand, bought the generic line kit ($30) and had everything I needed.

I have used both the SJM and the SLP line lock without any issue and would recommend either.

Ive had sjm and slp like them both as well. Hard to beat the sjm options tho and price.

I have a slp but about 6 months ago it kept blowing the inline 10 amp fuse so i increased the fuse to 15 and havent had a problem since

I was told to stay away from the SLP since they took a lot of the safety stuff out to cut cost but still charge rediculous cuz its "SLP". That kit is basically a short waiting to happen.


I have the sjm and love it.

I have had the SLP one for 5 yrs now and not one problem. Works great

I've noticed some solenoids work different. On some you have to apply the brakes and then hit the button. On others you can hit the button and just stomp the brakes and it will hold.

Some solenoids have one line going right in the top or bottom and others have them on opposite sides.

I would like to get the kind you can energize and stomp the brakes. Any specific ones do that for sure?

i have an slp. been on my daily for 2 years. works just fine. id suggest them. never tried an sjm tho
