Default Umi Panhard Relocation Kit Issue

Ok, So I just got done putting this thing on. Was doing a final once-over to make sure everything was in the proper place/torque/etc. Noticed this:

That's the top bolt sitting on my spring. So, yeah. Anybody have any ideas as to what's going on here? Pretty sure I followed the directions down to the letter.

Is your rear end too far back on the passenger side?

not to my knowledge. it's stock suspension except for the p.h.b. relocation kit. and the wheels look pretty centered in the well.

Can you take another photo a little further back?

Hmm, I just checked our house car (2000 WS6) and I have 3/4" between the thread end and the spring - the exact same orientation as yours.

Can you put a washer under the bolt head? Or, turn the bolts around? It looks like there's plenty of room to turn the bolts around.

I'll probably have to put a washer on it. don't think i can get the torque wrench to fit between it and the spring. might just dremel off a 1/4 inch or so. I am curious though why this happened. never seen anybody else have an issue. makes me think something is very bent on my car (secretly hoping i got sent the wrong bolt ).

Mine was like that as well, I just flipped the bolts around. It was also causing a grating noise over speed bumps.

did the grating noise go away after you flipped the bolts?

Yes it did, you could see a small line on the spring were the bolt was contacting the spring during compression.

cool. this is all making me feel better. I had assumed since the instructions indicated which way the bolt should go for the lower panhard bar, all three had to go the same way as the installation pictures.

I would turn the bolt around.
That way there is not chance of messing up the threads on the end.
Making it a pain to remove if you ever have to.
Just how I would do it.
Adding a washer would be ok too, just as long as you keep enough threads coming through the locking nut.
Use a new nyloc nut too for extra protection.

Shouldn't you be torquing the nut anyway?
